I don't often want these lot to win but tonight we could really do with them pulling something out of the bag. I still think Villa are in with a good shout for 4th, especially when you look at thier fixtures.

Everton (h)
Pompey (a)
Hull (a)
Brum (h)

Should they beat everton tonight i can see them winning all of there next 4 before they play is, if we failed to pick up points against United or Arsenal, they would be 4 points clear of us when they play us... Although we would have a game in hand. There game after us is Blackburn (h), also a very winnable game.
 
im definatly very scared of both Spurs and Villa.

I believe that if they both loose tonight and we either win or take a point on saturday then its all over for us.

Iv got a funny feeling spurs will be up for this tonight and possibly sneek a point.

I hope im wrong.
 
Neither Aston Villa nor Spurs will find tonites games easy to win .....

and that's why it was so important to heap added pressure on Spurs with our Birmingham win last Sunday .......

they know they'll HAVE to win tonite , because they can't be sure , at this point , that we won't add even more pressure to their cause by winning the derby!

And Everton will fancy a UEFA palce , so i can't really see them not putting eveything into tonites game either.
 
Personally I think Spurs and Villa will win tonight.

Anyone that thinks this is going to be sewn up this early is mad.

The games against Spurs and Villa will decide 4th.

Yep.
 
I can't see Spurs winning for several reasons:

- Palacios banned
- Kranjcar, Lennon, Defoe (?) and Corluka injured I believe
- They played 120 minutes and LOST their 3rd game in a row last weekend

And they are playing Arsenal who are still in the title race.

I don't think anyone is daft enough to think things could be 'sewn up' after tonites results ........ but if tonites results DON'T go Spurs and Villas way the added pressure could well get to them , and bring about negative results from here on (in games that are running out)....... and that , more than anything else , is what those two sides have to guard against!
 
Bit of a blow for Arsenal in that Song has failed to recover from his injury so it means Denilson will be playing the 'holding' role but with him, Diaby and Nasri in the middle of the park they should still have enough to get the better of Huddlestone and Modric

I hope you're wrong BUT it definately wouldn't surprise me 1 single bit!!

I think Spurs will win tonight, but Villa will draw. It's going to go right down to the last 2 games of the season. We could seal it with a win in the Spurs game, but failing that, it's going all the way to West Ham.
 
Villa still have us to play at home too, not to mention teams fighting for their lives against relegation, they won't and never have been easy games in the past.

I still feel that Spurs are our main threat which could be eliminated following an Arsenal win tonight and us beating the 'other lot' on Saturday.
 
Of course Everton will win. Don't you remember all their fans coming on here and saying that if it wasn't for a couple of injuries at the start of the season, they would have had the league title sown up by Easter?
Come on lads. We all know Everton are the best team in the country. They don't just get up for games against City. And, remember, they are the most moral and ethical club in the history of the game, so no need to worry about any funny business.
