Off to watch him tonight in Widnes v Gary Buckland. Vacant European lightweight title, also defends his British belt. On Sky. A massive blue from Leve, think he'll stop his man late on. All the best Muz
 
Good fighter much better than Amir Kahn IMO, shame he doesn't get the coverage he deserves but there are question marks about his mentality. Good luck tonight though hope he gets the win.
 
Cant wait, im going down this afternoon, staying over at Haydock, fight tonight then off to Haydock park tomorrow. Buzzer1 call in for a few mate if you fancy it.
 
Who is promoting Murray tonight? His career has stalled a bit and has seen Khan and Mitchell over take him. This is a big fight tonight and if he wins 1 more for a defence and then look for a World title shot or at the least a World title eliminator fight needs to fight for a title next year.

I've not seen him for years, but John is a really nice kid, my brother in law boxed at the same amatuer club and we shared many a giggle on the way home from obscure venues in the middle of the night! He was a fantastic amatuer, and is showing real potential in the pro game. John wasn't self publicising, just a quiet down to earth lad with a great outlook on life, he deserves everything he achieves in the game. For the record, i believe john would smash khan to pieces if they fought.

Just seen the post mate. I just got in from Swimmin' with the little'ns so gotta pass, i'll deffo be in touch though for a gaff with me Mrs, when it comes a bit warmer, if thats alright like?

Good result and a good fight I had Murray to win by ko in the last 3 rounds @ 5/1 so will get back 30 euro not bad. Murray needed the rounds big time still think 2 more fights and then go looking for a World title fight. Defence seems a bit better compared to some other fights and I hope he is back in the ring at the end of summer fighting again needs to stay active. We may see him move from Hennesey to Hatton Promotions some time soon as Mick has been too busy with Froch and all his other fighters have been put to another side. At Hatton Promotions he would be 1 of the top fighters and Ricky would look after him better than Hennesey.

It is a shame that he is with a shit promotor as if he was with Warren or any others by now he would be fighting for a World title. How Khan and Mitchell are all ahead of him in the que is down to 1 man and thats Warren. If your promotor not willing to back you you wont go anywhere quick.

well said....thought John looked very tasty ,he systematically took the lad apart..too brave for his own good. I only hope its not going to be the same scenario as Jamie Moore with Johns career.
 
It was a superb performance and a cracking end to a dismal few days for blues. Good banter with the Welsh lads. Would love to see Murray fight the winner of Mitchell-Katsidis next week. The Jamie Moore comparison is a valid one, though. Inactivity ruined Jamie's career and John should demand better from Hennessy or move on
