Step up to the mark tonight, thanks for Bobby Manc for repaying trust in Ireland and i just hope he can really silence the critics with one his ireland-esque, quality peformances. Would be a real blow if he left and went and signed for one of the heavyweight sides in the league, it'd definetly come back and haunt us.

So if your at the game, going to the game, or watching it from here, lets have a bit of love for Ireland. I still think he's got it without a doubt, and it's a matter of Superman putting on his cape and getting back to work.

Is he starting tonight? Is this confirmed somewhere?

Yeah Sky Sports News just reported it that he's playing behind Tevez i presume, taking RSC place, i suppose because of a knock he's picked up.

Feeling much more confident about the game now having seen that team sheet, although not too sure about starting zab at left back? night it actually end up being barry there?

me oo very attacking much better than when we played them at their place

Exactly. They have a decent midfield who can tackle and pass so if we went for the 3 dms combo we would end up conceding possession from the off. We need to get at them and play to our own strengths rather than trying to counter what they can do

NOW THATS a team. looks fearsome on paper and fills me full of confidence. I like the way Bobby thinks about subs and changing things even before kickoff,

COME ON CITY....

He's an average player wake up and smell the coffee. Watch tonite he will go missing in the game and will be over run by the Everton midfield. Face it he's no Fabregas or Essien. Just not good enough, cant shoot needs 3 or 4 chances before hitting the target cant tackle n cant pass to anyone in a blue shirt all he does is run around a lot, get rid and bring a class playmaker in

So do I but he wont anything that helps the City cause is good for me but lets be realistic he's a weak link he doesn't have what it takes to unlock top defences. You watch tonight he wont be involved in the game he's ok against poor teams but against anyone average or above he just cant cut it. Look at the derbys in recent times can anyone remember any telling contribution he's made. Big games need big players n he isn't. Would Arsenal Spuds Villa Chelski or the rags want him?...... No

-- Wed Mar 24, 2010 8:32 pm --

I REST MY CASE...... injury more like didn't fancy it the injury he has suffered is commonly known as.... Bottlin it

Admit it, it was you and your voodoo that got Ireland injured. To say he came off because he's bottled it? Desperate.

I'd have to disagree with you about nearly everything you've said about him though. Our best chance so far tonight was thanks to his knock over the top to Tevez.
He ran the rags ragged on their special day. He played a great game against Arsenal last season. Basically, he's nowhere near as bad as you think he is.

Great throughball to Tevez. Good to see a central midfielder make a pass like that rather than playing it sideways on the half-way line. Shame he got injured.

Best player for us last season. This season he has been absolutely fucking dire, looks lost on the pitch and if that other thread about him leaving is true, then I am very very happy. Ireland is superman......Christopher Reeves

Did more in 40 minutes than Barry did in 90 minutes. Some of the stick he gets is unbelievable. He makes things happen which is more than can be said for our other negative midfielders.
