Comedy Genius.

11 pages and not one single shout for Leonard Rossiter (?) Probably best to describe him as an actor rather than a comedian but his timing with sublime.

The Cinzano ads alone are some of the funniest TV I've ever seen.

(Those weird monolith things reminded me of him the other day)
He belongs to a fine tradition of British tragicomedy capturing the quiet desparation of everyday life along with
Harry H Corbett
Tony Hancock
Michael Crawford
David Jason in Only fools... and Open all hours
and of course Collyhursts greatest son

The late great tommy Cooper only had to walk on stage.....
My mate went to see him at the Golden Garter back in the seventies , Tommy Cooper appeared on stage , there was a garden gate ,no fence ,Cooper hesitated, looked around ,then goes thru the gate ,closing it behind him.
Genius!!

Yeah, I remember he wrote Blackadder, which was great, I was more referring to his stage act, which was similar to the woke crap we get subjected to now.
But, comedy's subjective, to each their own.

Clearly a great writer but as a comic....gob shited raving lefty but that was comedy I suppose back then.

Norm Macdonald is funny..

In North Dakota this week, a hunter narrowly escaped death when a pocketknife in his breast pocket deflected a bullet shot by another hunter...Man, you know we have too many weapons in this country when people are getting shot in the knife.
