Comparing January fixtures...

We have 7 games in 25 days but, after the 1st one at Sunderland, very little travelling, and most at the Etihad fortress. Liverpool 3 times in the period, with United and Spuds thrown in for good measure. Will we get United on 7th Jan, then they have a day less to recouperate from their Newcastle trip on 4th Jan? I doubt it somehow! The list is:-

Before the draw the OS said the weekend of 7/8th Jan, after the draw it changed to 6/7/8th Jan. I wonder?

There is no way Utd will be the Mon night after last year night game - Sat or Sun lunchtime guaranteed - hope the Sat which gives us more time so that we can play full strength side in both cup ties

The fact that after Sunderland all our games in January are at home or on our door step is a really good sign. We should be excited about January not scared.

I think we should be more concerned about Spurs than Liverpool.

The January playing schedule is tough for all clubs. Our strength in depth is better than anybody else's so no worries there and most of our games are at so even less to worry about.
