when city went 1 up (and got a player sent off) against wigan a couple of wks ago, wigan basically pushed us for like 35mins non stop. they created loads of chances, had loads of corners and played with total urgency throughout. fair enough we held on but we knew all about it. it was a tough, well fought victory against a team who were playing flat out.

skip to today and we find ourselves in the same position wigan were in. but what do we do. we play through the middle, strolling about the pitch stroking the ball to each other playing keep ball like were were 3 nil up ffs. there was no urgency, no width, no height, bugger all passion.

it wasnt so much the defeat today. it was the lack of fire and 'want' in the 2nd half. we had the ideal oppertunity to really press stoke in the last 45mins but we didnt even have a shot on goal.

im not slagging anyone in particular. and im not gonna suggest an answer to it all, but this away form issue really needs to be addressed ASAP.

fair do;s stoke fans / players prob thought it was a tough victory at the time. but looking back on the game they will see it was one of the easiest wins for them this season

city have not beaten a bottom 3 team this season
