In the back garden burning my old Chelsea shirt.
One of the reasons the atmosphere has become so dire recently is because of the way the two seperate stands compete.

I sit in 118 and it's something I've noticed from the first couple of games this season.

The South Stand will sing a song, which will then be changed by the Singing Section, and vice versa.

God knows why we're doing this and not trying to generate as much collective noise as possible, but it is happening, and because of that we just have two seperate groups of singers who won't form together.

My experiences of most of my Maine Road games were harder to remember cus' they were years ago, but was this a collectively noisy thing? Cus' tbf the two stands seperately (at CoMs) aren't loud on their own unless everyone gets singing, and from my experience of the South Stand these days no-one wants to sing. The only time it's ever loud is when both team up.

I think that next season the singing section should swap with the away fans so that then all the singers are together and will generate more atmosphere and the away fans can be pushed into the corner.

Just a thought.

I'm sure there will be some 'rules or regulations' which don't allow that ;)

Didn't know that. Which was which? Is the singing section the former Kippax singers and the north stand, now the south stand? Or is it the other way around?
