How confident does everyone feel about the CS?
Personally, Im a bit worried. Worried that I may be a bit overconfident cause them cunts have been the scourge of my life and just when I think they're down they come back to bit our backsides.
Anyway 6/1 City -1 with Paddy Power is my nap for the weekend, so bring it on rag-scum!!!!!!

Very confident. I don't know whether it's because it's only the community shield but I've never been less worried before a derby match. Can't see how their midfield will be able to live with ours, especially when we've got the ball.

100% confident, the Rags I work with are strangely quiet tonight saying nothing about Sunday yet before the Semi they were gobbing off for England how they were going to crush us.

The smell of fear is rife in the office tonight and it aint coming from me.

Really confident. Because for once, the rags don't hold the fucking monopoly on confidence and things have shifted... they're shitting it knowing that the battering ram that is Yaya is back on his turf. They hate the fact that Balo and Silva and Vinny and Nige are a massive threat. They hate the fact that we won't be cowed any more.

To sum up: They. Are. Shitting. Themselves. At. What. This. Season. Will. Bring.

big time!!!

we now have 11 strong gifted players! never before in my life have i felt confident before a derby! i will NEVER worry again! the plans for this club are outragious (understatement)

and if we do happen to lose because of a ref mistake...it s only a friendly!

I've learnt a trick of ManUre fans ya see....

WHEN we win gloat as fuck and keep brining it up till the next derby....

IF we loose a cup derby claim that the result neither mattered nor did the trophy in question as the (insert trophy previously won by your team) matters most

IF we loose a league derby claim that the result neither mattered as the league consists of 38 games and not 2....

You'll be suprises how much this winds them up big time lads at work get so pissed off they start claiming how Silva and Kompany are over-rated and De Jong doesn't deserve to play football, I even had 1 lad (in the pub) just as I was about to leave bring up Foe and instead of reacting I smiled and he said (aggressively) "whats so funny Foe ****" I just said "Irony is such an ammusing thing that 5 years ago the thought of a rag mentioning a tradgic death wouldn't even occur to me" put my pint down grabbed my jacket and walked away......

I remember the rags giving it large on facebook etc after granny shaggers wonder shin last season....all I wrote in reply was 'bring on the next derby'.

I am not over confident, its not in my nature as a long time blue, but we are more than capable of beating them. Again and again.

I'm not over confident .....

we can win it , but only if we're focused and fight for every ball .......

the semi-final was exteremely tight , and this will almost certainly be just as tough a game.

At the end of the day the game means little , and even if we come off worst it's how we react to it that really matters ..... and that means beating Swansea , no matter what happens on Sunday!

I was bricking it for the semi and we won, 3/4 months on and I seem a bit too overconfident about this one, so i'm not calling it, anything can happen...(city win 2-0)

Yes yes yes, Ive noticed this too, and have been pointing this out to them. I hope Im not making a rod for my back!
This is a big game for us. Lose and they will almost right off the FA Cup as 'you were due 1', win and old baconface will shake that little bit more!

C'mon you Blue's

I`m never confident about CITY, i`ve supported them too long, lets not get ahead of ourselves, as much as I hate them Ushited are a very good declining outfit.

I'm not worried, but that's probably because it's only the Charity Shield.

Don't think there's much between the teams, but on another thread people have been getting giddy predicting we'll batter them. Can't see that happening, think it'll be a draw.

Obviously penalties is a lottery.

What I have tend to have noticed is that the past 3 years us as fans (me included) our mentality has changed dramatically, we used to go into games um'ing and ar'ing about how we thought the game would end, if we were loosing with 10 or 5 minutes to go by 1 goal or drawing with 10 or 5 minutes left loads of people would leave or we would just sit there even on an attack just get frustrated and tut a lot, but what I've noticed is that we go into games a lot more confidently, if we are loosing or drawing even at the last 10 we're urging the lads on to attack and getting more stuck in, A few still have the old City mentality but I believe a bit more selfconfidence into the team and we'll gain that urgency ManUre fans and Chelsea fans have that spurs their teams on till the death....

Interesting stat 5 out of the past 6 winners of the community shield have won the league that year

And we've lost all three Charity Shields as Cup winners, still time for a change, and unlike them we have 100% record at new Wembley!

Just worried they will get a lucky break.

I've just got got back from the swamp, I feel a bit sick but had to take a family member for a birthday treat. I can honestly say hand on heart we are are stronger than them for the first time in my life.

They have lost Scholes who makes them tick and also Giggs is on his last legs. Fletcher is not around at the moment, Ashley Young looked like a headless chicken with no end product.

All in all we have more power and more skill, they have added mediocre youngsters and their better oldies are past it or gone.

I sat their tonight and I just smiled thinking we have actually gone past these, if we play with belief then there is only one winner.

Again sorry blues I feel dirty having been surrounded by a load of gloryhunting rags but it was worth it to know this is our time, United are on their way down!!

Come on City!!!

We controlled the semi after Bobby re-jigged things after the first 20 mins. The rags were chasing the game and we kept getting the ball back and knocking it around in a confident manner. We then had that great run to the end of the season, playing in the same confident way. Watching the friendly vs Inter, I was impressed with the same confidence in our play...we'll be fine on Sunday.

However, we all know the headlines will be either...

Mega rich City win low-key pre-season warm up game as Fergie bloods the youngsters

or

Rampant United put noisy neighbours in their place. - (fucks me off big time that when ever baconface opens his rancid pie-hole and comes up with a new phrase to describe us, the media report it ad infinitum)
