The thing that pisses me off about conspiracy nuts is their belief that they are cleverer than the 'non believers'.
I had a nursery nurse who's never been anywhere apart from her two weeks in the sun telling me on facebook that i ''need to open my eyes'' in a chat about climate change. Thereby implying that she knew more than me or the other 'sheep' that didn't subscribe to her tin-pot theories.

There are few things worse than the self proclaimed one eyed man/woman in the world of the blind.

A couple of weeks back a friend of my wife's visited. She has an unusual business involving retreats, meditation and contacting spirits. I asked her if she was looking forward to opening up business again with restrictions easing. She laughed and said she never really shut as she "doesn't do covid bollocks". I asked why as she told me that she did her own research and we were all being lied to by mainstream media. She won't have the vaccine.

It was her condescending attitude and ignorance that the research she did was correct and everybody elses research was wrong that really pissed me off.

She thinks she is clever but really she is stupid with little scientific education.

Annoying isn't it.

I half wish she would get a dose of covid .....enough to make her ill but not severely. But she would still deny it and put it down to flu or a bad cold I think. And I would not wish harm on anybody.

So all a bit pointless. I would like to forget about her and her attitude but difficult as I even posted on here about it.

I will watch covid conspiracy programme on I player tonight. But probably get annoyed.

People just don't like the truth because the truth is, mainly, just boring, so they create fantastic stories to fill the void. It's like when you see a magic trick, you're wowed by it wonder how on earth it's done. When you find out, you're just like " oh is that it" only a nut job would then say " no not having it, he defo cut her in half"

That's exactly it.
But then add a multitude of industries around these (books etc) and the money train rolls on.

The anti-vaxx doc shown on Ch4 the other evening clearly (and shockingly) exposed all that, at least from the anti vaccine 'industry'.

Discussing conspiracy theories should be question led and answered with a question.

Some of the greatest discussions I’ve ever had have been late night conspiracy theories on Diana, 9/11, JFK, the moon landing. There is always something that doesn’t add up and makes you ask questions. The truth is no one will ever know, it’s the people like the nursery nurse you mentioned who take it too far, they believe that ‘something that doesn’t add up’ as I mentioned above and think that it’s the truth.

Thats not correct though is it?
