My vote for coolest footballer. Cruyff runs him close but he's just too cudmungeonly these days (and his arrogance is getting tiresome and predictable).

But Baresi....what a player. Silk and steel. Like a cross between Beckenbauer and Luc Besson's Leon.

Platt once said he had the toughest game of his life against Baresi. Was out-played for the whole ninety minutes. Then at the end of the game they exchanged jerseys and Baresi's was bone-dry and still smelt of expensive cologne.
Pure class.
