Copenhagen!

This is good news... live like 30 km from copenhagen in Lund, Sweden... good news for me at least... i reckon i wont be able to get a ticket but i surely will be in copenhagen that night...

The team Copenhagen is ranked highest in the nordic countries and they buy the best players available... so its going to be a tough match and in Parken they have beaten United in champs league... they are by no means an easy team to meet... they are well orginanized in all areas of the pitch...

So looking forward to this match...

Fuck me, still no word when the game is. What are they doing? Uefa is run by muppets.

We know its the 18th or 19th so just go on the Wednesday and fly home on the Friday, its simple! Can see this being another quality trip, maybe even better than Schalke.

i cant its pretty hard/ expensive to get to

Just booked my flight, £122 return with easyjet from Stansted. Had to book an extra day there due to these dicks at UEFA!
copenhagen is a FUN town so you will have plenty of good time there...

Any chance we would get more than the UEFA 5% allocation ? Just looked through some of their attendances and they seem to average at about 17 - 18,000 including UEFA games. Top league attendance I could see was 26,000, So not like Schalke filling their place every week and you'd like to think they could offer us a bigger allocation.

hallo,

im a danish fc copenhagen fan and would like to say a bit about my club :)
i see u discuss the arena, normaly there could be 42000 as on the pics you have, but the rows behind one of the goals are going to be rebuild so these sets are unavaiable thats why the low tickes there can be sold.

if you guys would like to know our best players it is : our winger Libor Sionko who are a Czech republik international . and were there best player in the euros championships. another good player is Cesar santin who are a fast and skilled striker, but he aint a good finisher. but he create a lot. also the danish player Jesper grønkjær, he have been in severel clubs in the best legues in the world, Chelsea, atletico, stuttgart, and some other too. he have been injury in around a year but are maybe back in 2009. and some other players there on a good day can play fantastic, like Atiba Hutchinson, Ailton almeida,Zdenek Pospech.

if you wonna know something else you can post a messenge and i would try to answer :) and good luck ( not so much actually;))

Hello from Copenhagen

Dropped by and decided to give you some information on Copenhagen as city and team. Let’s start out with the city.

Copenhagen airport is located roughly 10 km outside of the city centre, and there’s two different trains that can take you to both Copenhagen Central Station and Nørreport Station. Copenhagen is a great city to go drinking in. You’ll find that the beers are priced at about 4 or 5 pounds. Some places you’ll find them cheaper. There are a lot of british pubs around Copenhagn with most of them located in the city centre around the shopping street “Strøget” and the city hall of Copenhagen. However this is also where you’ll find the most expensive beer. There’s also plenty bars on both Vesterbro and Nørrebro.

To save money you can buy beer in the supermarkets. Here the prices will be a lot lower. A case with 30 beers will cost you about 15-20£. There’s a broad culture for beer in Denmark, and you can select between many different brands of beer in the supermarket. And they are all at the same alcohol percentage as the ones you buy in the pub :-)

The Parken stadium is located in the borough of Østerbro. It’s possible to access the stadium via bus, but you’d probably want to take the short walk from the city centre or wherever you decide to stay as the bus is usually packed at match days. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk from Østerport station. My guess is that the game will be sold out, and you won’t get more than the 5 percent of the seats you are entitled to.

The team FC Copenhagen is, by Nordic standards, filled with a lot of quality players. None of them however would be anywhere near the City team. Our profiles are at the moment the following:

01: Jesper Christiansen – Danish national team goalkeeper. Former Glasgow Rangers and Wolfsburg player.
02: Zdenek Pospech – Czech international right back. Quite good offensive and well paced. Isn’t the best in defence though.
10: Jesper Grønkjær – Former Chelsea and Birmingham winger. Injured in most of 2008. Hopefully he’ll return for 2009. Definitely our best player.
11: Cesar Santin – Brazilian newcomer. Bought this summer as a wing but is currently used in the attack. Has very quick feet and can open up any defence. Will be the one your defenders will have to look out for.
24: Libor Sionko – Czech international and former Rangers wing. Did really good during the European championship but failed to regain a place in the first team this fall. If in good shape he’ll cause problems for most defences.

Even though we have our key placers located in the offense, the defensive record is quite good as well. We’ve conceded only 12 goals in 17 matches in the league. We field a 4-4-2 formation with emphasis on quick attacks and possession play.
