Corinthians make 35 million bid for tevez (MERGED)

I'm guessing this is an attempt to flush out a bid from a European club who would quite naturally prefer to wait and save themselves a million or two.

its amazing how people can believe that a brasilian club could pay some figures. amazing.

If the quotes are true, £50m per year in TV rights and a £23m a year shirt deal and a 68k seater stadium due to be completed in a few years... thats how.

At the end of the day we set a £50m price tag, why would we accept £15m less just because its a non-European club, and why should we too? £45m minimum, or £40m and add ons. £35m from £50 set fee would look weak.

Surely the £50m was just the "nice if we can get it" figure after Tevez's statements about returning to S.America in 3 years, I certainly don't expect to get more than £35m for him, if this is a serious offer we should think about taking it if the terms are ok.

Because we will risk having to keep a player who does not want to be here and will be worth even less in the next window....
Well then the buying club will have to worry about that, we're in a position where we don't need to do so, look at Ade, Bellers etc. We can afford to put Tevez amongst that lot if no-ones meets, or nears the asking price. £15m less than the listed price is way too much. I'd be a bit annoyed at £40m, but at least that looks better than £35m. As a cash purchase goes we shouldn't be accepting less than £45m if indeed the club value him at £50m. The Brazilian transfer deadline ends in 10 days anyway, so I guess it will move fast whatever happens, I just hope we don't pussy out and accept £35m after publicly saying we won't accept less than £50m.

I agree. £35 million is too cheap

I still find the quote from their director a bit strange in all this if they have made a 35m bid. I wonder what is going on? All very odd if you ask me.

Will people stop panicking and saying yes to 35 million, remember why he wants to leave am saying this til i am blue in the mush, Kia fucked up big time helping CT with his reasons for leaving, if your serious CT then you would work for fuck all to be with your family. Has anyone any idea the difference between 250000 and 100000 per week over a 3 year deal is.......... 23400000. Now do people see why we wont let him go on the cheap, 50 million minimum and that really is a bargain. Now go back to CTs statement and lets see how bloody much he wants to be with his family, does anyone seriously think that turd of an agent wont be touting CT again in 12 months for his own good, We are a business not a bloody charity sucking up to a sob stort, CT brought this on himself lets not forget

Perhaps if you looked into it you would see how. How do you know they can't, seeing as you're so amazed at those who think they can?
Because Italians can't ;)

If he really wants to be closer to his family and he misses them so much, he and his caring agent can put £15 million towards the £35 million and they'll get their wish.
