Yea I agree

Just think a lot of the PR is different between the Oxford and the rest of them

J&J, Pfizer and Moderna any results always seem to come out with some slick PR release with headline grabbing figures to boost their share price.

Where as the Oxford/Az, certainly at first at least gets people from the Uni making the announcement and some theories on how things could be better etc. Can't help think it would be different if it was the Big Pharma handling the trials and announcements rather than the Uni.

Where are the real world results seem to show no difference between them really. The Oxford one is the one that should be getting all the credit really seeing as it's being distributed at cost etc. Nobel Prize stuff.

Some of that is because AZ have no background in vaccines, and have very few properly qualified people to speak - as far as I know, AZ are providing the power behind the testing, and also the logistics/financial muscle in hooking up with local companies.

just 0.14% of kids back to secondary school tests positive.

shows a low prevalence in society ?

No it doesn't show low prevalence in society as you can take multiple tests. If 10 people take 10 tests each and of those 100 tests one comes back positive the prevalence is 10% not 1%.

Isle of Man today had 59 new cases. That is one tenth of the entire number of cases - 605 - that have been identified on the island since the virus arrived one year ago.

That probably makes it the most infected place in the British Isles right now.
How are they doing with the Vaccine roll out?

:)

No it does not matter unless you expect our government and state broadcaster to actually have staff who care enough about the biggest story they may ever cover to want to not be two days late on reporting data any person in the UK can see is wrong if they have a computer and know where to look.

As in the NHS - which I would hope our Health Secretary has heard of.

This has been the main problem throughout the whole pandemic nobody believes or trusts the government so therefore everybody has never been fully onboard. The press have been even worse.

It is baffling what is happening on the Isle of Man. They had everything under control, opened up and are the worst they have ever been. I'm afraid though if any country thinks they are going to have zero covid I think they will be sadly mistaken.

It's AZ via their Medimmune brand.

Agree with the post.
It's true, I go for my Flu jab every year and haven't got a clue who made it, same when i had the Pneumonia jab, I also have to go into Hospital every 8 weeks as a day patient to have a infusion for a condition I have and it means I can live a normal life so couldnt give a toss who makes it

Weren't many public figures from Isle of Man gloating only a month or so a go they were out or lockdown and nearly Covid free? Lol

Shows lateral flow tests not worth a wank
