Aside from the fact that pandemics are designated by the World (clue's in the name) Health Organisation on the basis of widespread transmission across a wide region or multiple continents, there are 1,000 people a week dying in the UK as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

The people who will end up taking our freedom away - in some cases the freedom to live - are those who find the facts too painful and instead indulge their paranoid fantasies about "political power grabs" and the like.

I am not referring to the situation across the globe as per your WHO definition so there is no claim in my argument as to whether it is right or wrong. You have a habit of presenting straw man arguments and hoping nobody notices.
