Hurrah!. A hefty fine for everyone who attends a party.

An obvious thing mentioned in here that is way overdue.

You want a party you accept the fine as a fee you charge all who attend.

Most will not pay £800 fines each.

£800 fine "if you attend a house party with 15+ people". Does that mean no fine if there are fewer than 15 there?!

Trial results expected at the end of January.
(for clarity, this is also called a Johnson & Johnson vaccine).

Certainly would - just having another vaccine is a good thing, especially with JnJ's production power.

That info was dated as last Sunday - after that it has to go regulators, so probably start of March at best for use.

I am getting confused about the figures if I am being honest.

I read an article in the Telegraph today. That had a graph, with side by side comparisons, and yearly average UK mortality rates.

Sure there were mortality Spikes.

Confusingly though ,mortality spikes recently attributed to Covid over say the last year and a half, directly correlated with previous mortality spikes over the last few years that were attributed to seasonal Flu.

Let me make this clear, I AM NOT questioning that Covid is real. Of course Covid is real, The evidence is everywhere.

It is also beyond doubt that there have been many mortalities to Covid.

Why though do these Covid spikes correlate directly with Flu spikes from previous years.

This is what is confusing me.

In fact why is it so hard find any recent data on flu mortalities.

The only plausible explanation i can come up with. Is the lockdown virtually eradicated seasonal Flu. Yet if that was the case, then why did Covid deaths rise over the same period ?. both are contagious airborne diseases.

Not sure what is going on. Maybe the author was lying with the graphs.

Or maybe Covid numbers are deliberately being exaggerated.

They should be doing something even if it's estimated.

As I responded to another poster earlier. If the Government gave a date and then had to renague on it due to circumstances out of their control, people would lay into them.

It's too early imo to be thinking the end game is in sight because vaccinations have started. We need much more info and feedback on the vaccine, before definitive can be given.

All a show. Schools were told by DfE this week they would lose all funding for nursery children if they weren’t seen to be encouraging their attendance. And they massively widened the key worker criteria. And some parents are selfish arseholes. We had SEVEN kids in during 1st lockdown all children of NHS or care home staff. We have 72 in next week with more to follow. This will kill people. Parents brothers sisters, teachers TAs caretakers, it will help overload the hospitals so forgive me but their shouting is all a facade ( and yes, I do know it should have a cedilla!). They are utterly fucking inept and downright lethal

Yep noticed that massively we live in the same street my daughter goes to, we have kept her off, but they’re are loads of kids this time, it’s a joke but we still won’t send ours.

I’ve read a couple more articles on line just now including Israel refusing to provide vaccines for 8,000 Palestinian Medics, who are critical to Covid and wider patient care in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It’s pretty despicable.

Tim, Israel has tried to send vaccinations even though it isn’t their responsibility to do so. However they have been refused by the ruling authority who are now lying to gain international support. Lying is something that comes to them naturally.

One thing I took from the press conference was the news that Asian and Black communities are the concern group for declining the vaccination offer. The doctor didn’t give stats so not sure how bad that is but clearly a concern.
