The Guardian reporting that AZ production in Belgium has hugely ramped up but they also have a piece detailing how hardly anyone in Germany wants it. Hopefully Germany, France and others have successfully undermined it with their populations so we can have their supplies.

The last bit isn't a serious point but I do believe that many countries have shot themselves in the foot with their attitude towards the AZ vaccine.

So the total deaths with out of hospital England to be added (will be a few hundred as it always is mid week)

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v Today:- 1130 v 856 v 739 v 622 Today.

Note though only England fell week to week today.

Cases 12, 718

Deaths 738

2.7% of pillar 1 & 2 tests

That is a pretty low add on for mid week from out of hospital in England

It was over 500 a week or two ago and today only around 120 or so .

As these are deaths in places such as care homes that fall is very significant.

I have similar priorities (my walks are just minus the hitting a ball around !).

While I think we're in a better place than I could have hoped for 3 months ago I have a real concern that re-opening schools on 8th March will produce a spike in cases amongst the unvaccinated 40-50 year olds.

It may well do but not many of them will die.

466, 262 pillar 1 & 2 tests for those 12, 718 cases

Positivity number in my post above

But that is 35,000 MORE tests than yesterday. When there were 2093 fewer cases.

As an as yet unvaccinated 56 year old I would prefer that children get back to school as soon as possible

As a society we are seem to be incredibly blasé regarding the long term social and economic consequences of denying millions of children the opportunity of a decent education.

Cases stubbornly high this week. What time do you find out number of tests?

Its huge isn't it - my middle child it feels like she has barely been in school for a year - the home schooling attempts have been a joke.
