Coronavirus (2022) thread

Someone above asked for a graph. Here is Zoe as of today showing cases since January.

You can see cases are rising but not quite as sharply as the last two Omicron waves.

Total ongoing cases today 2,507,005 and new cases estimated today 216,419 up 4311 on the day.

Hospital data and cases from each borouigh now only once a week. Due tomorrow evening.

But neither anythng to be worried about. North West is 6th out of 12 UK regions, Pretty average numbers.

Had my second bout 4 weeks ago. Persistent dry, throaty cough and mild fatigue. My good lady was worse with heavy cough and fatigue.
It looks like the timing of the recent uptick of cases couldn't have come at a better time. Better now than mid-winter.
 
Had two.colds in the last month but neither COVID, still not had it as far as I know.

My employer sent round a notification earlier this week advising that covid is now classed the same as the common cold and we'd be expected to treat the same with regards working as it's now downgraded in threat severity to 'normal' - i.e. don't come in the office if you're ill, but if you do get it you're expected to carry on working from home. Have a lemsip and suck it up, buttercup.

Still, quite a way we've come.
 
Had 5th jab yesterday sore arm but ok they give you maderna for this booster as it covers both variants

I managed about half an hour working on the first day before I couldn’t look at a screen or even stay awake, day two and three were complete write offs.
