Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Greed before need. The season will shamelessly restart, the fixtures will be drafted so that the dippers get two very easy games against teams who have nothing to play for, they will get the required 6 points, second wave of virus hits hard due to complete buffoonery by the government in lifting lockdown measures too early coz they haven't got a fucking clue what they are doing.
Dippers have the required points, trophy handed over, thousands of scouse and Norwegian fucktards celebrate at Klanfield, season voided, premiership hierarchy get the result they lusted for, job done, thousands more deaths but red blood stained ribbons on the trophy.
And another season, going along with the other tragedies which have been tarnished by the scousers ..

How much would cost each club and indeed would we have to pay it ? Or do you mean something else ?
If that statement is true, and if we are led to believe it’s the tv companies in part who are pushing for a restart, yet they also want a rebate, they could find themselves out in the wilderness when the tv rights come up for renewal,Amazon and so forth might be showing even more interest...

Season isn't starting pal. The only solution is neutral venues and the clubs to a man have point blank refused. There is too much to lose and not much to gain starting up, people are clutching at straws, the press are tripping saying the most outlandish suggestions.

No way they will just play two games to see them ****s over the line.

That last one,a rebate even if games are played behind closed doors, could be a huge moment this if that’s correct, wonder if sky or bt for that matter realise the consequences of this ..

I have heard this mentioned several times. What have they been paid for so far? I was under the impression that money went for 1) number of games televised and 2) position in final league table. Neither of which have yet been paid. Is this not correct?

I really hope your right.

Ah I get you, risky move then

So if they play behind closed doors the tv money will be 375k half what they would get if they were played before the virus so if it’s null and void each club will lose out on 18.5m chicken feed when it will save lives not playing at all.
