Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Its happened before 50,000 scousers turning up without a ticket................................

The game when they can win the league, a good few thousand dippers will turn up for an away, fuck knows how many will turn up at klanfield. The police will need exclusion zones around stadium's, I'm sure Merseyside old bill will do what they do best and turn a blind eye. And when there's a spike a week later the victim card will come out once again. It wasn't our fault..... cùnts.

Because I am a City fan but hate the way football is going and I enjoy bluemoon forum and chatting with fellow blues
So you do have some interest in football still ?

Sorry, not trying to be a twat. There’s a lot I dislike in football too at the moment. VAR is the biggest killer for me. I’m not a fan of champions league football In its current format . And as for tv/fixture planners disregard for match going fans ...

But I must admit, having, like many people, worked continually through the last few months I will be glad to see some football at last. No, it won’t be anything like the “real” stuff but it will do for me whilst this crap situation continues

I barely think about football at the moment, far more important things happening, but hearing the news of the season starting back up again it sunk in just how weird its going to be!

If I miss any games it tends to be because of a clash with someone's Birthday, a family do, wedding etc. The idea of a game taking place and not being able to go... I just cant get behind it. I'll end up watching the city games because its City but for me it's nothing more than glorified pre season games.

still say a ball wont be kicked, incoming 2nd wave is certain and we will have to shut down again causing further damage to the economy, two weeks is my guess when the R rate start going upwards

Don’t see a second wave happening based on what has happened in other areas of the world. Cases may not continue to decline at the same rate or hot spots develop though.

$eason* will be finished.

We are still on the first wave , 300 odd dead today , will be interesting when the shops open next month if the fatalities increase substantially i can see another lockdown and back to square one , but at least the Dippers will have their title.

In two minds here.

I'm happy that football is back, albeit a fan-less watered down version of what it should be. But on the other hand, really what is the point if the fans aren't there?

Well I suppose it ultimately comes down to money.

Manchester police turned a blind eye to that funeral in Gorton recently of ‘mr Ibiza’ so as not to upset the hordes of hero worshipping chavs, you just know Merseyside police will already have prepared the same excuse

What’s all this neutral venue bollocks for certain games involving the dippers? Various newspapers reporting our match against them and the Dipper derby being moved.
