Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

At least One game will be meaningless

Well just imagine that one team is outside the relegation zone on goal difference and have played all their games. Two teams play each other on the last day and they know if they draw one is guaranteed a champions league spot and the other leapfrogs the other team and stays safe. What would happen.

Whilst unlikely it “could” happen and that’s why they should never start a season with an odd number. Fixtures are set at the start. There’s no way of knowing the permutations on the last game. However in most seasons there are issues to be resolved on the last day.

What about the lower league teams that would rely on the Cup matches?
On the plus side they won't be patronised as being romantic in cups until the big sides arrive & then get dumped to highlights.

Seriously, whatever we end up with there's been zero consideration for lower league teams all through this pandemic & that's a bigger disgrace than trying to get the dips over the line.

Let LFC have it, I dont care anymore. As long as they dont use PPE and testing for footballers! Its been disgusting watching that club putting titles before lives, they deserve this particular title.

Anyway it means we keep our records and *Liverpool will not be remembered.

I'm a bit the same, who cares - just give them the fucking thing and stick it up there ass.

Fed up of it now tbh, start football when it's safe - sick of people trying to bulldoze it back. I can honestly say there has not been a moment in the last 2 months, where I've really been desperate to see football return behind closed doors.
