Could Nasri play Silva's role?

Sooner or later David's going to need a break/get injured/suspended. So could Nasri play his role in the middle, behind the striker. He has the skill and does not give the ball away, and might not have to track back like a wide player, but tends to slow our attacks down. So what do you think, could he play there on occasions?

Nasri is a natural 10.

Would like to see it happen. When Negredo arrived he played some friendlies in that position and they looked to be forming a very good understanding, while last season he also played that role away in Rome and was excellent. If he were to play that role, I'd like to see him put in that position with a settled side around him rather than part of three or four changes where they are all having to find their feet, as so often happens when we play in the domestic cups.

He's good in the position and would do a job but not nearly as effectively as Silva. However that's not a slight on Nasri just a reflection of the sheer talent Silva possesses

If Silva was out you could play Bony in behind Aguero. Looked good at the end of last season. But for like for like KDB

I wouldn't mind seeing Pellers make this his first sub in a game without changing the rest of the team, just to see if Nasri can hack it.

Nasri s role appears to be come on late, close the game down, hold the ball up, keep possession, don't run at everybody, track back occasionally and if you feel like it score.

Iheanacho could also play there, as we've seen in preseason. Maybe a good shout for domestic cups against lower sides..

Only if he decided to run a bit. He is the most frustrating player we have.

Very talented but can't be arsed all the time.

When he is on form he is one of the best in the world. When he can't be bothered it shows.
