Could you/would you take in refugees

One worry
Who sets them up with doctors, dentists, school places?
Is it going to fall on hosts.

The local council is supposed to be getting £10,000 for each refugee.
The bulk of that would normally be spent on commission Resettlement Workers or similar floating support type people and prep work. The £10k figure was previously per household when dealing with families and covered 5 years, and would be completely separate from NHS and LEA budgets. The LEA also sorts put ESOL with a separate budget.

I love the british people , we are kind hearted but the gov are not giving out visas quick enough and wont be in any great volume , they do not want them here in reality and we all know it , they are making it almost impossible for people running for their lives without the time to round up mortage docs , utility bills , in some cases passports , then there is nobody at the border in poland to advise them and get them internet access to fill in the fifty page form needed

Hope this comes back to bite them at the polls , disgusting effort and motives

Fills you with confidence that Liz Truss has got a grip of this, erm…maybe not.

150 000 people registered for the scheme but charities tell them to get a grip. Nothing happening. They are caught between the devil and the deep blue see. The championed reducing immigration and yet here they are trying to figure out how to let as few people in as possible and not upset 1000's of people.

It appears a lot of the matching of people will be done through Social Media. Don’t quite know how it’s going to work. Yes, there will be a big demand to take in young females with children who can speak good English and who’s husband has stayed behind to fight. That said, there will be a lot of elderly who need care, speak very little English are confused and need escorting to Hospital on an almost weekly basis in order to attend to their medical needs. Not sure who will be volunteering to take them on board, bearing in mind at the moment most here in the UK are quite happy to see family members put in to homes rather than have the long term responsibility of looking after them.

My matching up is being done by blasting that “all the single ladies” song out of my flat as they walk past.

You can visualise it now. You have been matched up, can’t believe your luck. Candlelight dinner ready to greet her. Turns up in a taxi with 4 kids in tow, oh they are not mine, I promised to look after them for my sister. I told her from our messages I knew your ever such a kind man so I am sure you wouldn’t mind. She will be joining us in a few weeks time.
