Covers that sound bettter than the originals

I watched a programme on TV years ago that recreated the timescale of The Beatles recording an early album of theirs, With The Beatles I think.

Beverley Knight sang the last song, Twist and Shout, and she absolutely nailed it.

I've always liked her since she put getting up early in the morning in the bin on Room 101.

Enjoyed that mate but just a correction, Twist and Shout was on their first album Please Please Me, it was the album they recorded live in a day.
John had a cold and a sore throat that day so he had to leave singing this one till the end of the day as he knew his voice would be shot after it.

Interesting the guitarist played a different riff at the beginning than The Beatles played... this one is the riff for La Bamba.
