Second oldest population after Japan according to the NY Times. Looks like they're quoting median age as per Wikipedia.Well smoking is common but not overly so, I mean I don't know what the European mean number of smokers is so...
It's maybe down to the fact our population is old. We have a lot of elders and have few children.
Couple of days or there abouts,i have had ME for over 25 yrs amongst other things,if you are normally fit and healthy i wouldn't worry too much
Madness. Laptops are better VFM these days and portable to boot.
It was; the "19" in COVID-19 refers to the year it was identified. What are the chances this was knocking about before new year?
Almost everyone I worked with took weeks off work at some point in the run up to Christmas, 3 were on steroids for their chest infections and I felt like I was on deaths door for over two weeks, not leaving bed for 4 days and didn’t breathe correctly for about 4 weeks.
Seems to be a lot of people reckoning this has been flying around for a little longer, but I’m not so sure.
i didn't know about that aside from the dr who discovered it,maybe the underlying issues is a bit of a lieinteresting this point as there’s been quite a few doctors from recollection that sadly passed away in their late 30s,40s and early 50s. Italian marathon runner and amateur footballer who is 36 is in intensive care still after contracting a week a go. Just trying to work out if all these younger people had underlying issues.

4.25% in Italy is quite a lot higher than elsewhere.
wonder why the increase there. Smoking maybe? Is that common in Italy?
At every City home game we are told at half time that “Manchester has the highest number of smoking related deaths in the country”...Well smoking is common but not overly so, I mean I don't know what the European mean number of smokers is so...

I believe so too. China didn’t inform their own people about this virus for weeks, did not try to contain this virus for weeks and I’m certain did not release true figures. It’s 4.25% on positive cases too and a lot of them have only tested positive in the last couple of days so haven’t had time to die yet! I think the rate will be higher when all these new cases filter through. My guess is the Chinese date is simply not reliable and the Italian data is much more realistic.

not one to make a fuss although i fully understand protecting other people, stayed in all today and im doing the same tomorrow 'no one else here this weekend' symptoms have lifted quite a bit but if they return il call themIf you are experiencing these symptoms then you should call health services to get guidance.
It is probably not COVID-19, but it should still be assessed and potentially treated if it persists.
China adopted the "nah, it'll be fine" approach.I believe so too. China didn’t inform their own people about this virus for weeks, did not try to contain this virus for weeks and I’m certain did not release true figures.
A week ago? These Italian numbers are a bit of a worry. Why haven’t they stopped travel to and from Italy? Another 700 or so cases and 40 odd more deaths.
a week <ago> there were less than 1000 and around 8 deaths. Now 197 deaths! Pretty high rate. Seems most of ours are coming from Italy too.
It was reported how there was a rise in people dying of “a heavy flu” this WinterWhat are the chances this was knocking about before new year?
