Sorry George, I'm not following you. I have posted cheques to my bank for years as it's easier than going to the branch. Unless of course your PayPal thingy is post lockdown. Incidentally I posted one to them a couple of days ago so I am on a watching brief. I don't think that PayPal are part of the bank clearing system.

I can see I have to simplify this for you

1) Currys refund policy is normally to insist you attend a store in person after summons by text to see how much their "voucher"/refund is actually for. The customer then must consider a range of substitutions instead of the cash - which is only offered as a time consuming last resort.

2) Now their stores are closed and their email also turned off the only option for customers wanting refunds is to endure hours of waiting on a paid for call to speak to some poor klutz who then processes the refund and tells you the cheque is in the post.

3) As far as I am aware Currys is the only major retailer not make refunds into the same account used to purchase goods.

4) Currys are criminals.
