It depends on people staying home and observing the lockdown guidance...oh wait...

The nice, well-behaved people like me have bitten the bullet with the lockdown in good faith, technological tracing is a step too far especially when so many have abused our trust and respect by flouting the rules and put me, my family and other innocent people in danger through their continual disregard.

So I'm comfortable with my position.

Not sure what I will do but this is a perfectly reasonable approach for people to take. After all, is the app developer the same individual who was alleged to have misused personal information as part of Vote Leave? I think I read somewhere that some Cabinet members are shareholders of the company hired to develop the app. Not sure of this is true or not.

We were doing one metre at the beginning. I get what you're saying but it's using up a vast amount of space if one is shown to be sufficient.
I wonder which other nations are using as part of their precautions.

I did wonder this to start with. our guidance came out before the tests that showed this spreading at 2m when just breathing, it does make me think they were either being cautious or 2m was a standard they had in place for a droplet airborne pathogen and went with it.

We're still a country that uses imperial measurements when we talk distances, so whilst 2 metres may be hard for some (especially the old) to imagine, 6 feet (and a bit!) probably isn't.
My Da is in his 60's and hasn't got a clue about metric.
He says Miles, yards, feet and inches. Gallons and pints, stones pounds and ounces etc.

Bluemooners abroad, have any of you returned to england in the last month or so? I have some family issues ( not covid-19 ) and my family mainly parents want me to come home for a bit. I'm kind of thinking I don't think it is wise, but flights run daily. What kind of reception are people getting at UK airports? I am in the Netherlands right now.
You can walk straight through airports currently but the govt are saying when they relax lock down all entrants to the UK will have to self isolate for 14 days.

Like alcohol limits and veg portions it was probably completely made up.

Further lockdown, couple weeks, or do we start to relax some of the measures on Friday?

Personally, I think another 2 weeks will be required, then we can begin looking at getting the schools back etc.
Johnson said 12 weeks originally
Has maintained 12 weeks recently
So I reckon another 5/6 weeks.
