you do know that 1 case does not mean wide spread transmission dont you? 1 case is 1 case and its entirely possible that a few cases may have been around then while not spreading to millions instantly.

You can clearly see when large scale community spread started by looking at this graph. but then you probably think the ONS are faking it.

my rather cynical friend was predicting, a couple months ago, that people would basically be begging to go back to the pre-covid way, back to debt cycles and living on credit and being a consumer, instead of taking the greatest opportunity of a generation for social change. Dunno, part of me agrees, part of me hopes he's wrong.

You'll have to wait for the recession to fully hit for that to happen.

Why do you especially mention hand sanitizer?

Meanwhile in Germany it's "common sense" ;) that transmission mainly goes via droplets and aerosol,
only a minor part by smear infection via surfaces.

Keeping distance to others and avoiding dense and unventilated indoor situations is key IMO.
Use a mask where it makes sense (indoors and/or dense locations).


Adding to the anxiety discussions ahead,
it's helpful to use your senses and brain avoiding this virus
instead a spiral of emotions or even panic. Trust your smart self and feel good.

Keep cool everybody. Be aware of the situation you are exposed to and still enjoy life! Be creative and do things where you have a good feeling that there's no chance for an infection.

Most by aerosol droplet landing on your hand or being picked picked up from a surface or material. So our science sources can BOTH be right) Therefore whenever you have to touch things there should be 60%+ alcohol hand sanitizer on hand near by. Hand rails, escalators lift buttons, request road crossings shops on entry and exit.
Thus to properly restart the economy it needs to be everywhere. It isn't and it bloody well should be.
