I don't think CDC say that.
They say that it is predominantly droplet transmission

Airborne transmission and droplet transmission are not considered the same thing as droplets generally travel only short distances through the air.
No one has said that children can't spread it with any serious scientific credentials that I have seen though it is possible that the rates of transmission may be a lot lower than adults.
I've just posted some links mate - I'm not saying it's all cast iron stuff with evidence etc, (personally, I don't see how we can have much evidence of a 6 month old virus.) but the "information" true or not, is out there and it's very very confusing.
Plus the will I get the horrific version with pneumonia or will I be asymptomatic.
Perhaps the worst bit of all, second only to "have I unknowingly infected anyone who is vulnerable?"
