I don't think CDC say that.
They say that it is predominantly droplet transmission

Airborne transmission and droplet transmission are not considered the same thing as droplets generally travel only short distances through the air.
No one has said that children can't spread it with any serious scientific credentials that I have seen though it is possible that the rates of transmission may be a lot lower than adults.

I've just posted some links mate - I'm not saying it's all cast iron stuff with evidence etc, (personally, I don't see how we can have much evidence of a 6 month old virus.) but the "information" true or not, is out there and it's very very confusing.

Plus the will I get the horrific version with pneumonia or will I be asymptomatic.

Perhaps the worst bit of all, second only to "have I unknowingly infected anyone who is vulnerable?"

the antibody test is what needs rolling out ASAP in my opinion these current test do seem a waste of money and they are not accurate.

They're not a waste of money, they allow people to continue to work, if they can't work from home, and if you test positive they force you and your family members to isolate.

I work in care and have been told the client I have on Monday has covid.

My company are not the best and they do the bare minimum to comply. Which means for example this particular client was supposed to be locked down but was going out three times a day because he didn't believe he should be locked down. The company sort of turned a blind eye - requested him to stop going out but not actually stopping it happening.

Would you go in?

PPE is visor, gloves, apron, so no issues there except 6 hours of wearing that is difficult (no breaks)

It's an odd moment with it now (although no more odder than it's been for the last few months tbf...) as the shocking death tolls are nowhere near what they were or highlighted grimly on the news every day. We've also seen a cessation of positive vaccine and treatment stories (which came after the 'postive' ventilator stories earlier on).
And nobody can really agree, or at least deduce at the moment, on how much of the population has had it (the T cells information added a spanner in the works there...hopefully a good spanner). So your mind flips between 'we're going to have to live with this for an awful amount of time' and 'it may fizzle out due' to the particular nature of the virus. Might also be treatments that mean we can hold out much longer for a vaccine (if one is eventually needed after all). It's a collective mental bashing and I'm absolutely hating it if I'm honest.

Viruses arrive, spread rapidly, finish off a lot of frail and elderly people, then disappear as the population acquires immunity. I see no reason to believe this one will be any different.

That there are uncertainties about every possible means of transmission and the precise likelihood of the different ones is true. However the basic idea that the main route of transmission is by droplets to those close to the infected person has barely changed.

yes I agree with that to a degree but for me the outcome is very short lived in most cases. If you test positive it’s gives you valuable info granted but you could catch the virus on your way home from the test & your result may show negative. The test are also not accurate so we certainly have neg tested people walking around who are positive with no symptoms. This is counter productive & dangerous. If your being tested every other day that would make more sense although time & cost not feasible. I just think time & money into the antibody test would give a better & safer picture.

I suppose your dammed if you do dammed if you don’t. Crazy times

I wouldn’t go in and I would be inclined to tell the client to do one. Doesn’t look good on your company turning a blind eye and is the client self isolating now or is he out and about infecting people! No wonder the country is in such a mess but of course it’s the government’s fault that he couldn’t stay inside.

Not groundbreaking treatment/vaccine but interesting article about the research of the virus itself (which could lend itself to future treatments & cures).
Estimated around 200 millions atoms make up this particular virus (a grain of salt contains 200 billion atoms). When you consider an *atom is pretty much the half way point (size wise) between us and the centre of the atom...the point at the Planck scale) it puts a lot into perspective ("Too much fucking perspective").

* Read this in a Brian Greene book. If you blew the centre point of an atom up to the size of a tree the outer section of an atom
would be the size of our current universe (93 billion light years in diameter). Nuts.

I wouldn't go in, and if there is proof he's been going out with the virus confirmed he should be reported to the police for breaking the isolation rules, with selfish idiots like that out and about we'll never get back to any kind of normality.

Turned a blind eye was probably a bit ott but they do the bare minimum to cover their arses.

The client is young, laughs at Corona as an old people killer, I guess he might have changed ghis tune now.

I am going to put my complaints fw and if I have to go into the job I will but would really rather not.
