Distancing shops is a thing of the past. The worse ones are the cunts in masks. Fucking Volvo drivers in face coverings. Cunts.

Thanks for listening.

Big Tesco in Stretford was great yesterday tbf. Everyone keeping their space. Well organised. Hand sanitizer for customers too. One way system really well organised. Think it depends on which shop you go to. The little sainsburys near me is really good for example, 100 metres further down you can go to a Spar which is awful. The big Asda near the Trafford centre is crap compared to stretford Tesco. Same area, just think it depends on how well its managed to set an example.

Obesity, Dementia, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure highlighted by age. BAME immigrant and poor communities have all of the above by the bucketful

I put the article forward because I thought it interesting and figured others might also. I'm not putting forward a stance on the subject just thought it might be worth some discussion?

Can you explain you reply as I don't understand the point you are making.

One of the areas in the article had zero cases, Ferrara Erbognone, admitted a small sample (population a little under 1200), but still zero cases.

I also thought this,

"In a paper published in Cell on 14 May, researchers at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology in California reported that T cells in blood drawn from people between 2015 and 2018 recognised and reacted to fragments of the Sars-CoV-2 virus. “These people could not have possibly seen Sars-CoV-2,” says one of the paper’s senior authors, Alessandro Sette. “The most reasonable hypothesis is that this reactivity is really cross-reactivity with the cousins of Sars-CoV-2 – the common cold coronaviruses which circulate very broadly and generally give rather mild disease.”

The finding supported an earlier one from a group at the Charité hospital in Berlin, detecting T cell reactivity to proteins in the Sars-CoV-2 virus in 83% of Covid-19 patients but also in 34% of healthy volunteers who had tested negative for the virus itself."

worthy of a look.

Apologies if any of the above has been discussed before, there's a lot to keep up with :)

Scotland had ZERO deaths yesterday for the first time. and only 18 new cases. Just 646 now in hospital. 16 confirmed with Covid in ICU (though 9 others awaiting tests).

Gotta say I think Tescos have it sorted, at least the ones I have used. Apparently they are looking to install some kind of system where you can queue in your car once the weather turns.

The England hospital figures good too. Again with the Sunday warning.

72 total deaths reported. Just 16 yesterday.

Still sub 100 even with add ons all the way back to 30th May which is still at just 89 with a week of add on data.

60 of those 72 deaths date from the last 5 days.

Just 2 of yesterdays deaths were from the NW. 14 in total from the 72.

The North East had 11 from yesterday and 17 in total.

London had just 4 of the 72.

Good as in better than before but bad if comparing with other European countries.

Well, yes, but we are still going in the right direction from deaths and new cases. Which measure different time periods. As in deaths recording infections from 3/4 weeks ago. And new cases from this week.

Its also true that we have always been a week or two behind mainland Europe as our island status meant it got here later.

Sadly we did not make great use of that opportunity in the way, for instance, Australia or New Zealand did. But they were much more isolated and have much less population density than here. Which were big advantages. Our crowded island is a perfect breeding ground for this kind of infection.
