The players have been in “bubbles” much of the time.
IMHO, the happiness top flight football is brining to millions of people currently exceeds the risk of spreading the virus. It’s about quality of life as well as quantity of years IMHO.

Not in Kaz's world, we should just lock ourselves in, sit on the computer all day constantly reminding each other about the damage it does to the liver and organs, abolish any form of social activity, no football, no pubs, screw the economy and also be bitter at teenagers

England hospital deaths good again for a Tuesday. Equals last weeks new low of 6.

Showing the decline in hospitals with no obvious Tuesday add ons like there used to be. And still has been to a de4gree from out of hospitals on Tuesday. Though at a lower level than it was here too.

Of the 6 only 5 were in the past month.

But 4 of them were from the NW.

As I say every weekend the NW seems to not report any weekend deaths for some reason so this is not at all unusual. As we have had three days with 0 deaths.

But the media will almost certainly not have worked this out and record this as significant to the NW.

It isnt'.

So there have been 8 UK hospital deaths today. Last week there were 7.

The single figure numbers keep coming and can only be good news - even though it is the all settings ones that always gets the media headlines.

Not that long ago we were dreaming of the day we might see single figure hospital deaths like other countries were claiming. Now we are surprised when it's a little more

Here is the data for today's England deaths:

10 Aug saw 0 deaths

9 Aug added 1 to be 3 after 2 days.

8 Aug added 1 to be 3 after 3 days.

7 Aug added 0 to be 4 after 4 days.

6 Aug added 1 to be 6 after 5 days.

So that is 10 of the last 11 5 day totals are single figures and 12 of the last 14. And both the other dates that were not single figures were 10.

This is a clear downward trend even amidst a few weeks now of increasing cases.

Of the others today 1 was added to 5 Aug to be just 4 after 6 days. And 1 added to 29 Jul to be 6 after nearly two weeks.

The sixth death was over a month ago.

Last weeks UK hospital death total of 7 became 89 all settings when 82 were added from out of hospital all (as usual) from England. The weekend catch up is more obvious out of hospital.

Today we start at 8 and we will see where we go.

Last week we had a low 670 cases (0.55% of tests) for comparison with later, We can hope.....

So non England new cases today are 65 - mostly from Scotland. Last week they were 45. Evenly split.

England added 617 last week.

Todays 6 England hospital deaths were aged between 46 and 96 and all had known previous underlying health conditions.
