Just heard her again,the most significant disease they are counting,i have addressed causes of death before so i won't do it again

it's not about gradual increase, it's about some people seeing different numbers at same time at worldometer. I see 14550 now.

yep, usa is being absolutely hammered right now. Guess they increased testing too, though I've read today that at some place they tested 500 people and 50% came positive.

Sitting in your house watching tv isn’t fucking harsh. It might not be the most comfortable of situations but it would be to save lives.
Boris is playing Russian roulette with the British publics lives - sadly it seems a large percentage of the British public are happy to add a couple of extra bullets to the chamber.
 
Just seen this on Facebook. I've not posted on there in over 10 years but jsut went on so Mrs Hef could sort her account out:

But to put things into perspective - UK deaths from coronavirus 0.0003%, confirmed UK cases 0.00752%. Even in Italy the worst hit country - death rate is 0.0079% and confirmed cases 0.088%. Like I said, this isn't to make people disregard the virus, just provide some reassurance in these worrying times."

For the avoidance of doubt, that is not 'perspective' is is a misleading rubbish peddled by people who don't know what they are talking about

By treating us like Adults? It is the people, we should be able to be asked to do something and conform rather than getting battered in the streets by over zealous coppers having to force us ffs. I'd move abroad if I needed that to actually listen.

Those statistics aren't even close to being right and it's an indictment of how thick the average person is in the UK.

As has been made patently clear over the weekend - too many in the U.K. don’t deserve to be treated like adults.
I’m currently into day 9 of lockdown and it seems the Spanish have figured out in the main how not to behave like cunts.

Swedish PM is going to address the nation in less than an hour, hasn't happened in years. Rumors are that Stockholm county is going in to lockdown. Don't know what to think.

2 weeks ago we were losing 2-0 in the derby and while this shit was real, it wasn’t all consuming in the way it is now. 3 weeks ago it was all about the League Cup Final which saw 35000 of our fans in attendance. I think a lockdown then would’ve resulted in a huge backlash from the public. That said, I think it should’ve happened a week ago.
 
Next problem.

Woman in her 80s (and respiratory problems) wants house cleaning. House cleaner wants to do it - because she likes cleaning, and it's her job, and there's still no word of help for the self-employed if she can't do her job. Elderly woman accepts the risks (lost husband to start of dementia+cancer and wouldn't want to go that way). And she says a nurse at the local hospital (which is normally over busy) says no-one over 70 will get a ventilator. Discuss. (No "bell-end" comments please.)

My maths isn't great and only looked at the Italy figures but 5000 deaths out of a population of 60M would be about .008% wouldn't it, which is more or less the figure quoted?

It might be where you are, but I saw intelligent people with families walking in the park I overlook today, no sign of what you are talking about, just people taking advantage of a sunny day to get some fresh air before we are all denied it later in the week .
