We're at the end of a long weekend where everyone has had time to take in the mood, and the blanket coverage. Some people are pretty sick of it. Some are just getting more worried. It's early to make a firm prediction but by my estimation the former will be in meltdown in around 2 weeks time, when the numbers go past 10,000 recorded UK cases, hundreds of deaths, and keep doubling every few days. And I hope the later will be somewhat relieved when it caps out within another month or so.

Well I came on to moan about the non essential travel steer from the Foreign Office as it means I’ll probably need to cancel my holiday to Italy this summer but that feels a bit irrelevant now

All the best @karen7 , hope you’re on the mend soon x

You’ve been spared... for now...

How do you volunteer to be a guinea pig for the vaccine testing?

I have two weeks off in April, they can use me!

Isn’t the pay for it alright?

And self-quarantine!
When i told them where i had been and on the train, hotel etc they said it is impossible to say where and at what stage i got it and unless i went in for a snog it is not likely to have been passed on with a quick hug, also the trouble is it is cold and flu season and everyone with a sniffle can't stay at home, most people have families in the same house all going in different directions every day and then coming back together,it is out there on the loose and getting impossible to contain,if you are fit and healthy with no symptoms or just a cold then just carry on and stay away from people who have exsisting serious health conditions,i don't have the runny blocked nose you get with a cold,it is very much a throat to chest thing
