Yep, Marinakis has it. He was at the Forest game on Friday in their dressing room, and I believe also Olympiacos at the weekend. This guy is fucking loaded, be interesting to see how his treatment and recovery goes. Other than being grossly overweight, he seems in reasonable health. Probably the highest profile case so far, fingers crossed for his recovery and that it hasn't spread within his football clubs.

Just seen it on the Daily Fail.

Yeah I hope its not too severe. I see their game against wolves thursday may be called off.

I really believe we should postpone all football

Wish I could remember the name but he has spoken to doctors and scientists who are in direct contact with the government. To paraphrase they heard the government's arguments about the effects on the economy and the problems attached with it . They aren't convinced but will speak with one voice but some will break ranks very soon. Next week he said.

Someone else must have heard it on 5 live this morning.

It really does not surprise me, not for one minute would I expect anything less from this government.

At the end of the day why the hell would all these other countries be wrong and us right? I think its bloody ridiculous that Cheltenham, Football has not been postponed until further notice. If it comes out that the governments lack of action has cost lives I cannot begin to imagine the consequences.

What's out of context? One of the theory's, he's not been chatting with the lads down his local has he? One of the theories is straight from government, it's admittance that they've considered doing FA and let the old and vulnerable die off. It's absolutely disgusting!

the out of context is the fact its cut to the point where it makes it look like he's for the idea when the in context clip says he's not...

the Boris clip doing the rounds is an out of context clip, full clip here.

Thanks. As I said before, the first theory isn't a great one imo. As for what he wants to do, well, if he said he wants to act now he should actually act now.

It's manna from heaven for them. They're always whining people are living too long, imagine killing off thousands of those people who cost them money through healthcare and pensions. They managed it with lots of the poor and disabled during austerity, this is the icing on the cake. Even Blair once mentioned the working class in the context of collateral damage.

The Tories wouldn’t mind killing off any section of the population OTHER THAN over 65’s as it’s those fuckers that vote them in.

ASX up 3.5% today mainly thanks to Trump's announcement of a stimulus package. Plus our own.
Sort of but not just that.

Oil accounted for 14% of world GDP at its height, yesterday’s price would put it down at 2.9%. So markets are also seeing that an oil price drop isn’t all doom and gloom as reduced costs means higher profits for millions of businesses.

Or it could be a dead cat bounce...

Ps, how shocking that US stocks are up around the same amount as futures were before extracting when @Marvin said they weren’t one and the same.

For those who think not enough is being done and the world should go into shut down mode maybe just a little context.
Every day around 3,500 people die in road traffic accidents.
In total there are currently 4000 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Where do you strike the balance? If there were 3500 deaths per day from COVID I would understand the idea of locking down movement but why is death by RTA ok then?

It's a virus which will never have the same death rate as things which carry a far greater risk that we accept. If it wasn't for the hype it would go unnoticed like the recent Ebola outbreak which killed about 2500 people but was not reported at all in the mainstream media.
im sure someone will be along soon,,just getting the popcorn
