I wonder if we're actually using the malaria and HIV medication that early trials seem to be suggesting are effecting against the virus. Trump is going on about it now but the Australians and French (amongst others) have also been doing testing with those drugs that looks promising. Not sure where they are manufactured or what supplies of them with have in the UK but if the results continue to look good, every country will be after them.

Not arsed who was up there, be strong and address the nation honesty. He’s just said we can get on top of it in 12 weeks, when asked what he means by that he couldn’t answer it. I’d like him to at least force businesses to close. Happy with public transport to carry on too but want people to stop socialising. Contradictions everywhere. Make a stance and be strong with it and everyone fight it together.

No help for companies that are having to let people go now whilst waiting to apply for financial support. No clarification of school closures.

Idiot or not, it takes a bigger fucking idiot not to follow the advice. It can’t be any fucking clearer to me - stay out of pubs and restaurants. Granted, they should be just closing them outright now because not everyone is listening or heeding the advice, but we can’t put all the blame on the government if people are ignoring what they’re asking us to do.

To be fair he doesn't need to have, what he needs to do is appoint the right people and do what they say, then put that across . Which he seems to be ok doing. What he can’t do and other leaders do better is have the knowledge to expand on stuff in answer to questions. Not ideal but in the scheme of things if he gets good advice and acts on it thats the important thing.

It’s stupidity to think everyone will listen. If he’s telling people not to go you’re basically saying these places shouldn’t be open. Close them, it’s not fucking hard but he’s making the basics very hard. That’s why not everyone gets on board because he contradicts himself. Until he takes it serious and shuts these places down or even lock downs, you’ll still get idiots who won’t take the advice seriously either.
