the alternative is to gather some evidince and make an informed decision before we leap!

We should have done that before we decided on trashing our economy and ruining lives, whilst only prolonging the agony!

GM scoreboard as you might fear is not good for most places.

Yesterday we had 143 cases - today it is 155. That is a large chunk of the UK total of 950. And the NW numbers at 285 are 30% of the UK total.

Yesterday GM had 17.66% of all cases, today it's 16.3% so despite a rise it's not as bad as it could have been - trying to see the positive in a bad situation

Without a vaccine its going to get to mostly everyone till 65% of folks have had it and we achieve herd immunity in an uncontrolled manner.

We could be vaccinated within a year. In the grand scheme of things that's no time at all. Why willingly risk destroying the lives of all these people? Hundreds of thousands of people, if not more, with potential life changing problems would be devastating in many, many ways.

Interesting to note that cases in Melbourne are continuing to rise, 4 weeks into their lockdown. It may mean that the cases would be rising at a much, much faster rate without lockdown in place or it may mean that lockdown is having little effect on what's happening down there.
