Sorry foe the confusion.

There were 156, 140 as pillar 1 & 2 tests which is higher than the data on the NHS site. Because that is just for England. So the 140K is for the 679 cases and the 156 K for the 758.

In terms of evaluating the 758 UK cases it becomes about 0.5%.

679 of todays cases are from England. The lowest number found in England for 5 days. And pro rata rate is slightly lower at just under 0.5%

Regional case data is good news. Especially for the lockdwn regions.

First hint of lockdown working perhaps. But we will need to see more days to be sure.

London 112 (up from 90)

West Midlands 66 (up from 63)

Yorks & Humber 63 (down a lot from 150)

And North West 160 (down from 216 and lowest daily total since the lockdown measures here and roughly where we were two weeks ago when the first warning signs were appearing.

NW actually had a higher number than today on one day three weeks ago. And 160 is around double where we were 4/5 weeks ago and 3 times where we were before any lockdowns ended in the UK.

GM scoreboard is certainly brighter mostly all round too.

Total cases for region just 79 - the lowest since lockdown by some way. And our lowest contribution to the daily cases total since I have been checking it. That compares with 131 yesterday.

Maybe that should be a dedicated thread for Headlplace's work. It's the main reason for coming in this thread and the repetitive bickering can get in the way.

I created the political thread to move the Political bickering to that one.
This one should be stats and science based stuff.

Hospital data

Patient numbers

Scotland (-1) to 261.

All other data is still yesterday so England not updated whilst others have to yesterday.

England 638, Wales 96, N Ireland 3

Total however thanks to the falls in Scotand and Wales is now 998 - so sub 1000 in UK hospitals with Covid.

Front page news tomorrow.

Probably not.

But good news even so.

ICU Ventilator bed news.

Scotland 3 (-1)

N Irelad still 1.

Wales 5 (+2)

England 57.

This is all still yesterday (weekemnd data can be slow) aside from Scotland. Total 66.

Same is true of regions so maybe we will get more tomorrow.
