However, it is important to note the PHE data does not encompass all outbreaks, or infections - just those reported to them.as a result the data shows 4.2 per cent of outbreaks linked to Covid-19 that were investigated by PHE, were in a hospitality setting.

Another key thing to note is each outbreak can include multiple cases where people are infected, and this data does not account for that

That's pretty worrying as there are on average 3 people per hospital currently in with covid. Presume the hysterical headline is also taking the empty nightingales into account, or is it just more SAGE encouraged fear mongering? We saw with our own eyes from the minutes of the meetings that earlier in the year that the message from SAGE was the fear factor needs ramping up, does anyone think this is not on the agenda again?

do you think if someone in Manchester gets sick they will be moved to say, Cornwall for treatment where there are less cases?

No. Do you think everyone with covid are in Manchester hospitals?

hospital's in hit areas will get more people in them and could get over run, which is what that article was saying. there were hospitals in London that ran out of capacity during the 1st spike while there were thousands of empty hospital beds up here., the average over the country is irrelevant.

but then, you already know that.

England hospital deaths sadly new high after yesterday's fall.

56 with a record 23 of them from the North West.

Versus 47 last week - 19 from the NW.

Though at least that was a modeat week to week increase.
