look even if it is only 20% of nurses not taking the vaccine that is still a huge number of nurses
and the pcr test is oversensitive and throws out many false positives. the elon musk event is a case in point. So ok you are picking holes in my numbers fair enough but the overall argument i make is valid
You win the award for the most miserable poster on here, and there are some right miserable cunts on here, so that's some achievement.

More top debating skills there.
As usual I’ve no idea why you jump up and down foaming at the mouth, when it’s clear you’ve either not read what I wrote (unlikely) or not understood it (more likely).

As usual you refuse to engage when called out on the misleading crap you continually pollute the thread with like this

A Portuguese court has stated that when using a CT of over 35 it is likely that 97% of positives are actually false positives which isn’t great

Right. We often get outbreaks of cancer taking out our entire nation's hospital intensive care capacity at a stroke, do we?

Crikey thats some achievement, kaz7 will be furious after all the hard work she has put in

well it was from a reputable source the exact number doesnt matter as if a lot of nhs nurses arent vaccinated covid will spread through the health system. Therefore lockdowns will have to continue there is no choice. it is why i believe we are a long way off getting back to normal even with a vaccine
Nurses vaccinations planned before the end of the year.Stop making up stuff.

I think she has the right idea , we should have gone back into a proper lockdown when sage said to , if we are going to get a decent holday peroid then it needs to be at a low level going into it as possible

The Scottish first minister told MSPs the move was intended to be "short and sharp" and is "specifically intended to have an impact in advance of Christmas and the most challenging winter period".

Ms Sturgeon said lifting the Level 4 restrictions ahead of Christmas and before the end of Hanukkah would allow a "greater degree of freedom" around celebrations.

Lied on Gov website (not proud) as they would give my daughter and her mum one and not me. Got one the next morning. Negative thank fuck.
Our office lost nearly 10 days of work last month. Mainly because of asymptomatic cases where the person who tested positive had been in the workplace the day before. It was decided that the office had to shut for a week (after Union pressure) and we were all advised to get tested.
Thankfully I had a negative result but, more importantly, it seems to have done the trick and those who were also asymptomatic stayed away for 2 weeks.
We all had to lie, but it sorted it and saved a lot of money in lost resource for the taxpayer.

BMA survey , hidden in sky blog , health and social care commitee session .The feelings of the people trying to save us gets forgotten, the stress is immense , i think we have to plan to replace a lot of staff later now

Doctors and nurses were not prepared to see "so much illness and death" as the coronavirus pandemic struck, a leading medic has told MPs.

NHS workers have reported high levels of stress and fatigue - and as many as two in five have not had a break since the first wave of the UK outbreak in March, said Dr Chaand Nagpaul.

The chairman of the British Medical Association's (BMA) Council said that not only were staff working "flat out", they were dealing with the emotional impact of seeing their colleagues get ill, being fearful of getting ill themselves, and helping patients say their final goodbyes to loved ones over smartphones or iPads.

He told the health and social care committee that even before the pandemic there were already high levels of stress and anxiety.

A BMA poll of doctors has found that once the pandemic is over 51% are more likely to work fewer hours, 26% say they are more likely to retire early and 22% said they are more likely to leave the NHS for another career.

Meanwhile 40% of doctors said that their stress levels and their levels of burnout are now higher, 59% say they are severely fatigued and 40% haven't even been able to take an adequate beak or leave from work since March.

The sessions to mp's are usually repeated on bbc parliament channel

I'm sure thousands have done that, and it's probably saving not only money for companies and the government, but also lives along the way.

Boris seems to have had no symptoms after self isolating but seems to have been tested (negative).

Italy 32, 191 cases and 731 deaths - up nearly 5000 cases and 227 deaths,
The centres of Italian towns and cities are high density housing hotspots. It didn't get into central and southern Italy last time but this time it has. It will be a nightmare for them.

This really is fantastic news.
Flu is only contained by vaccination of the vulnerable by a relatively low herd immunity level (R0 of 1.4-1.7so herd immunity is around 40%). Covid-19 (R0 of about 3.1 with herd immunity around 68%) would require mass vaccination every year to achieve the same success rate.
Measles (R0=12 and herd immunity around 92%) needs virtually the entire population to be vaccinated - fortunately it doesn't change so it's a once for life vaccination.

If you want dec 25 th then you have to put the work in now , there will a big spike in jan , at least it will be from a lower level .managing it is all we have till we all get vaccinated

It is on all the news
We all know when flu usually hits. It's not rocket science that this will probably mimic it.
You can ban Christmas as far as I'm concerned, it's consumerism gone mad.
However, it's going to pretty awful for those who usually get together with elderly loved ones if it IS restricted
