Andyhinch - I cannot track everywhere. Only so many hours in the day. But will add Cheshire East from now on to reports.

Meanwhile here is the data taken straight from the Gov.UK site for Cheshire East

It only goes up to 5 days ago as it is the post case allocation of cases number that takes several days to confirm.

But it shows otherwise the day to day case numbers from the same date as the table above for GM does just for the first day of each week - those dates BOLDED IN THIS LIST correspond with the start of each week in the GM numbers - but you get the rest in between too here which I did not add as it would have been too much information for 10 boroughs.

The data shows the date, the Weekly Cases from past 7 day and the Weekly Pop alongside - as in these cases v population of Cheshire East to create a number per 100,000.

As you see it was nowhere near as impacted by rising numbers as GM but has risen slightly, plateaued and fell too. Just not as obviously as numbers are modest by GM standards.

More or less in Trafford/Stockport territory by GM standards - without ever getting dragged up to the level they did by the rest of GM during wave 2.

Still not quite back down to where Cheshire East was at the start but GM is not yet quite back where it was in August yet when numbers were similar to where Cheshire East was early/mid October.

Cheers, you doing a great job, I’m never 100% on the best place to look

They will probably change their mind when they want to go on holiday abroad and find they aren't allowed to without a vaccination. Many countries arround the world require proof of vaccinations for yellow fever and such like these days before you are allowed to enter. Covid will be the same I imagine.
Got one on my FB who was complaining about this last week, saying that everyone should have a choice. I said at the time that there was nothing set in stone about it but seems like it will be the case going off what Qantas have said today, with more surely to follow. No doubt he’ll now be telling me “I told you so” but as you say, there are countries who don’t let you in unless you’re vaccinated against other diseases. Plus he will still have a choice as to whether he has the vaccine or not - he just might not be able to fuck off to his house in Spain if he refuses to have it!

Mainly it’s too rushed . One lad who’s 56 said “ not having summat in me that’s not been tested properly “ .Same lad has took all sorts of drugs over the years .
As my Dad in his 50s said, if he had to take a chance of either having a dose of a vaccine led by medical professionals, or catching a dose of COVID; he’d take his chances with the vaccine.

18hrs at least ;-)

You really do need to volunteer your services Healdplace.

I do not have the expertise or math skills. Purely amateur number crunching as I used to employ in the day job (and still do from time to time as I am only semi retired).

But that was on things very different from a pandemic - although in some ways just as surreal.

Feel really uplifted today. The news conference was uplifting and you can almost see the weight metaphorically speaking lifting off Boris shoulders. A few weeks and we will be vaccinating and every single day the problem is then reducing. Also only 27 days until the shortest day and then we are on the road to spring. I can handle a boring January and February knowing 2021 will at some point absolutely boom. People will be desperate to have fun and drink and eat out. Will be great.

I am going to spoil my dad like mad next summer and have lots of great days out. Can’t wait.

Thanks to all the hardworking scientists (and Boris and his team)

He may have a point.

Former MasterChef champion and owner of Wood restaurant Simon Wood said of the revised tiers: "What baffles me is that they're quite openly admitting 'we've got it wrong again, so we've changed it from last time'.

"That's what they're saying by changing the rules.

"They're never going to get the result they want until education closes, which it will do naturally over Christmas - and then they'll say the restrictions work."

He - along with thousands of workers and industry bodies - is again calling on the Government to publish evidence that supports closures.

Another restaurateur willing to forgo the education of our children in order to sell a few meals.

Boris has beaten the virus now, IMO. We all just need to sit tight and let them immunise who they need to.

We’ll be back to normal as of Easter. I am going to book all my holidays for next year now.

Can you recall how many doses of this vaccine the government

Great post mate. Some positive words in these difficult times

They can only open up so much its Gyms or pubs and pubs lost.

I have no idea what is the rationale? You are more likely to pass on or catch covid19 if you only drink?

There is no competition with gyms. Gyms will always lose if it was a competition between them and the hospitality sector.
