Covid 19: Sino global relations

I’ve absolutely no idea the point you’re making as your post isn’t a proper sentence but this is what I’m getting at...

It was an answer to your question (though really that was just a statement with a question mark at the end, after a question that didn't have a question mark, together with a superfluous comma).

(Don't take me on about grammar.)

I know exactly what point you're making. Didn't you click the link?

Nothing to do with grammar, I’m no snob, I draw the line at understanding what people are getting at, I didn’t with your post.

I did yeah but it’s the Mail.

Are we taking them as gospel when it suits?

It wouldn’t surprise me to be honest, the government has bollocksed it.

Chinese Ambassador is being very vague in his press conference on BBC News now.

What disinformation is he taking about? Be specific, man! Because I’ll tell you what by not being specific it makes you wonder the random thing that’ll run through people’s minds as he’s speaking really is disinformation.

Did he mean the danger of the way they treat and keep animals dead or alive?
Did he mean their death numbers?
What?

China was once the cradle of the coronavirus pandemic but it has bounced back with astonishing speed, writes EDWARD LUCAS as he reveals the country may have won the war for global supremacy as well

Extract below stood out for me as being very accurate. They can actually follow through with what Russia can’t due to their economic model.

As Charles Parton, once the top ‘China-watcher’ in the British government, argues in the latest edition of Standpoint magazine, we do not have a strategy for dealing with China. But China has a strategy for dealing with us.

For years the Beijing regime has been playing divide and rule against a squabbling and self-indulgent West.

Sanctions against the Chinese wouldn't work as they now own so many business based abroad. One of the ventilator manufacturers in the UK is Chinese owned.

The time lines of the notification from China to the international community of the nature of the outbreak have been defended by many on this thread and today we actually got a senior official of the Health Commission from China confirming that they were lacking here. Step in the right direction at least and as close as you are going to get from them that they know they screwed up. Sure the rest of the details will be drip fed to us over time.

quite a smart move as they know nobody believes them ( about anything really) so why not admit part of it as they know they have a window here to take center stage on a global platform whilst trump continues to turn the US into a basket case.

The coronavirus pandemic is a "big test" that has exposed weaknesses in China's public health system, a senior official has told Chinese media.
