Covid and travel discussion

Stumbled across this below article online, it's way too vague and a little ridiculous.
''Last year'' is far too broad, as for a number of months there was no restrictions on overseas travel, so no-one was 'defying warnings' from the Government.
If the Gov had absolutely wanted people to stay at home, they would've extended the ban on leisure travel.
Instead, it was lifted in June 2020 and didn't return until November 2020 for the lockdown that month.
Travel was also permitted in December, before we all got locked down again in January 2021.

As this thread has shown, some people seem to want everyone to stay on these shores forever, but life goes on and travel certainly goes on.

Fill in locator form 48 hours before you return to the UK and use your day 2 booking reference on it.

No, you can’t get on the plane without completing the passenger locator form. No earlier than 48 hours before arriving in UK

No it has to be done a day or so before you come home otherwise you cant fly. I was in Alicante airport a couple of weeks ago and the Jersey cricket team was flying to Gatwick. Must have been 30 of them in their tracksuits and kitbags and been to a tour or tournament. They hadnt done their passenger locator forms and they werent allowed out of the country. They were literally turfed out of the airport by the Spanish police.

Anyone know of a website where I can book a flight to NZ or vice versa where I can book a stopover of, say, 24+ hours? Ta

Greetings from Tenerife, things pretty much back to normal here, beech packed as you'd expect,if you vape or smoke they have tightened up on this but that's about it

The mind boggles at the stupidity and ignorance of some people.
