Stumbled across this below article online, it's way too vague and a little ridiculous.
''Last year'' is far too broad, as for a number of months there was no restrictions on overseas travel, so no-one was 'defying warnings' from the Government.
If the Gov had absolutely wanted people to stay at home, they would've extended the ban on leisure travel.
Instead, it was lifted in June 2020 and didn't return until November 2020 for the lockdown that month.
Travel was also permitted in December, before we all got locked down again in January 2021.
As this thread has shown, some people seem to want everyone to stay on these shores forever, but life goes on and travel certainly goes on.
