Covid outbreak | Pep is back, new positive cases (pg 39)

No reason to call it off. 7 first team squad players positive, of which most would probably not have played in this game anyway (Obviously depending on who has and hasn’t got it)

There’s no reason for any top flight teams to have postponements. They all have plenty of kids to call upon from their various EDS and youth teams. Which is why it’s a farce Liverpool got theirs postponed yesterday with a combination of Injuries, covid and players at AFCON.
I agree, Lets not stoop to LFC levels and use covid as an excuse just because their best players are away at AFCON, as long as we can field a team we should play.

It’s hardly the same though is it as high intensity training at the training ground.

Chelsea now becomes a very difficult game with a largely undercooked squad. It’s exactly why I didn’t like some posters saying the title was done. In this current climate with COVID we could easily drop points due to losing key players at bad moments.
We'll be fine.

Rodri and Walker had in December, then we've just had Zinchenko and Foden isolating. KDB also in November, maybe City had a covid party to get it done in one go, you know like measles party's in the 70s.

Well, that's probably the slant the media will go.

Hate to mention it but thousands have been reinfected with the Omicron strain having already been laid low by the virus.

Great chance for some youngsters to get time on the pitch.

It levels the playing field but we should have enough quality with Rodri, KDB, etc.
