Whilst I don’t disagree with your sentiments I would point out that people from all walks of life are breaching the lockdown rules, should they be given 12 month work bans? PL footballers are under the spot light, like no others, and therefore should be more savy which most of them are. Unfortunately Mendy is a fun loving, full of life, character something which we all loved at first however, because he’s not performing where it matters he’s lost support of the fans. I’m sure he is past his last chance with Pep and will he got rid of as soon as they can, maybe out on loan, but he would have to be replaced in the squad as with the current situation the squad could be down to bear bones, 14, due to further COVID positives
 
Time they wrote this season off, don't give a title out to anyone, declare the season null and void. Was ridiculous to even start it, now with games coming every few days and no vaccine rolled out just knock it on the head FFS.

I agree - I am genuinely not bothered what we win this season. Only counts when we are all back. This is a farce.
 
I have said before this season is a farce and is purely about the clubs getting the TV money, not about producing good games, not about producing a good product, the product is shit without fans ! not caring about the fans not caring overly about the players or family welfare. It's all about money.

This isnt a league it's a round robin set of training matches, that the press/media are trying to turn into a proper premier league season. The reason to keep them in work. VAR is being used unashamedly to keep the two clubs with the biggest following at the top. TV companys need utd and liverpool near the top to get the viewing figures high. Because fans like me are only watching their teams training match.

The team that wins this round robin league will be the team that has been the one helped the most by VAR and the team that has less covid19 outbreaks.

Why would you want to win a league knowing your opponents have 'lost' the league to you , not because their weren't as good as you , but because they had more covid19 outbreaks in their squad in the middle of an out of control pandemic ?

It's a farce luckily us fans arent being ripped of this season in paying to go. I am certainly not investing any emotional time and energy to this premier training league. There has been a few times I didn't even know City were playing ! I have no idea when other teams are playing not really interested

I think more than anything the timing of this, a couple of days after the Everton postponement, will prove fatal for Mendy’s City career. The players will have been repeatedly warned about obeying the rules and no doubt reminded in the strongest terms after the recent outbreak. So to do something like this only a couple of days later clearly displays contempt for the management’s authority. I suspect he may well be made an example of as a salutary lesson to the others.

Footballers are role models & have very little financial issues in my opinion. The general public have much greater stresses & less to loose which is why they will break the rules. Not that that’s correct. Footballers should be leading by example. the only reason they are playing is because of strict prem league protocols which are not being met.

mendy has been one of our worst ever signings sadly.
 
Mendy should be fired, an utter and total prat, especial considering the week the club has had with covid.

I would have thought it would be a breach of contract if it's proved he has broken the rules yet again.

This fool has wasted enough of the clubs time and money, get rid.
