surely the Chelsea game will also be off. Can also see the Rags game being put back as the final isn't now until the end of April and even possibly us having to concede the fa cup game if things get worse

If the majority of the population, don’t follow guidelines (or even just protect themselves) then unfortunately it will spread and keep killing.

This country has a “I’m alright Jack, fuck the rest” attitude.

Our biggest problem is that the current 9 cases could be 20 by Wednesday.

The Miami Marlins had a big outbreak in baseball and they went from 1 player to 4 to 13 to 20 over the course of a week.

If that happens to us our season is over.
 
It really isn't as simple as just worrying about rearranging fixtures though is it? Our players are real people who could actually get seriously ill from this virus, how would people feel if someone like Torres (as a random example) develops complications and can never play a game again as his lungs end up knackered? Career over, we shouldn't be playing football during a pandemic, it is and always has been fucking ridiculous, this season going ahead coupled with the joke of the latter stages of last season are the main reason I won't be renewing, love of the game has totally gone for me.

Yep .. and Everton fans are happy its off too as they also had us banked for 3 points

But as been pointed out by several posters, the long term health of the players is the most important issue here

Whilst you have a good point, the reality is that a young player, like Torres (or indeed many players given their fortunes burning a hole in their collective pockets) will probably be out and about, not stuck in house, wrapped in cotton wool, waiting for the new season, should it ever start.

I'm classed as a key worker, have followed the rules and have worked through it all, so far. Some of us have to carry on, we can't all just hide and hope for the best.
