So now I have to spend the evening with Mrsery ffs!
This is something we should probably prepare for. The early speculation was that Cancelo and Ederson had tests come back positive this time around, which with Jesus would suggest it's spread amongst our Portuguese-speaking cohort. Add in one or two or two more and our title hopes are realistically over just given the number of fixtures coming up.Our biggest problem is that the current 9 cases could be 20 by Wednesday.
The Miami Marlins had a big outbreak in baseball and they went from 1 player to 4 to 13 to 20 over the course of a week.
If that happens to us our season is over.
The easiest way around that is let players opt out if they do not feel comfortable playing the season. in the NFL there is a few players who didn’t participate in the season due health concerns etc. If we didn’t play the games I highly doubt our squad made up of young rich men (with let’s face it very low iq) would be spending their time locked indoors. It really isn't as simple as just worrying about rearranging fixtures though is it? Our players are real people who could actually get seriously ill from this virus, how would people feel if someone like Torres (as a random example) develops complications and can never play a game again as his lungs end up knackered? Career over, we shouldn't be playing football during a pandemic, it is and always has been fucking ridiculous, this season going ahead coupled with the joke of the latter stages of last season are the main reason I won't be renewing, love of the game has totally gone for me.
Miami Marlins also made it to the playoffs. We just need to control the spread and once we know who is negative etc we can start working againThis is something we should probably prepare for. That’s 2 PL games canned this month
at some point they’ll have to look at suspending season
No problem with the club taking whatever actions necessary to protect players. This season, like the last, isn’t meaningful to me. Forfeits and points deductions are preferable to me than rushing players back and having it spread more
Whilst you have a good point, the reality is that a young player, like Torres (or indeed many players given their fortunes burning a hole in their collective pockets) will probably be out and about, not stuck in house, wrapped in cotton wool, waiting for the new season, should it ever start.
I'm classed as a key worker, have followed the rules and have worked through it all, so far. Some of us have to carry on, we can't all just hide and hope for the best.
I do think people’s mental health should not be underestimated as well. The football to a lot of people is a great distraction and comfort for a lot of people. If the players are happy to play then I don’t see an issue personallyThis is probably the start of a lot of issues for teams. This isn’t football at the moment and is only being played for business reasons. Wouldn’t give a monkey’s if it was cancelled soon.
Haha imagine the piss boiling....hoisted by their own petard.Winter break.
We’ll end up winning the league on points per game having played about 5 less games.

Have you been living in your own little bubble. Try having a look the rest of Europe. Its like everything else this Govt has touched.....fucking and farting about and not displaying any consistency, some clubs have fans, some don't........while the virus is still wreaking havoc.
Its fucking madness
We already did when they postponed the 1st game of the season (Villa?), what a farce of a season. We're going to have a very big problem with fixture congestion.
