Shameful display in that 2nd inning. India fully deserved to win. I can’t see how the opening pair can keep their place for the next game. County cricket must be woeful if we havnt got better batsman than those two

lost the game this morning when root let them score over 80 runs with the india tail
but boy how bad are we at batting under pressure and sorry we have not a scooby in the ashes

how root can keep his role as captain ? he's a joke and should do the right thing and stand down

The lack of quality at 1,2,3 was a huge factor in that result. Any hope of building a late charge was gone in minutes.
Looking back to the memorable 2005 series we had Strauss,Trescothick and Vaughan. A world class 1-3.
Burns, Sibley and Hameed are not good enough. Hales has been a naughty boy and Vince,Jason Roy are white ballers.
Bowling attack is ok but we need a top quality spinner.
Well done too to the Glamorgan rejects and journeymen X1 beating Essex.

county crickets is full of good players. but the ECB have setup a system that they can not get the chance because of central contracts demands people like moeen ali plays and he the next in line with the ECB paying him

4 years ago the whole of english cricket knew that nothing will ever change at test cricket before the next ashes down under ? same old faces in a safe place without any fear of losing their places

Thing with Roots captaincy is we all know he is shite at it and we all know it be after the ashes he will go!

The batting is appalling we have one top quality batsman Root the rest can’t bat test match cricket!
