I never said who for ;-)Could be Andy !!
Stat off TMS today suggests a definite no. Not sure of the exact timescale (or whether they batted 1st) but teams losing the toss and winning at Headingley is around 44% in recent times.Well done England but India have been terrible in every department. 38 overs before the new ball so see off the quicks in the morning then build a nice score late morning session. New ball after lunch so we don't want to lose more than 3 in the morning.
Is that the worst decision to bat first in test history? Must be.
Who won the toss at the Stokes/Leach test a couple of years ago?Stat off TMS today suggests a definite no. Not sure of the exact timescale (or whether they batted 1st) but teams losing the toss and winning at Headingley is around 44% in recent times.
Again I'm not sure how that compares elsewhere but it's in the good toss to lose category not the no brainer...... unlike Brisbane 2002!
Not sure but I'd guess the Aussies as they batted first. We skittled them for 180ish and then rolled over for 67 iirc. I suppose the point is that Headingley is never a no brainer when it comes to winning the toss which is a good thing imo.Who won the toss at the Stokes/Leach test a couple of years ago?
England won the toss and decided to field.Who won the toss at the Stokes/Leach test a couple of years ago?
Nasser Hussain at the GABBA will probably never be beaten.Well done England but India have been terrible in every department. 38 overs before the new ball so see off the quicks in the morning then build a nice score late morning session. Was going to like your post, but didn’t seem appropriate. Waste of a career, sadly.Simon Jones dislocated his knee with the first 20 minutes of that game as well
Came back and had a couple of magical years it was Trent Bridge 05 that finished him.Was going to like your post, but didn’t seem appropriate. Waste of a career, sadly.
