Maybe have 2 innings of 10 overs each to negate the toss
I wondered if the team that loses the toss could have the option of swapping after 10 overs or 5 wkts (keeping their remaining overs until the other team has batted/bowled their 20). Would certainly make it interesting tactically.

Make it nine innings and call the world cup a 'world series'.

I'd like to see that ten overs format tried or maybe they need to have wickets specially prepared by the ICC in a country with fairer wickets.

Surely it's possible these days to stick a wicket in the back of a plane and fly it to the ground and plug it into the ground.

Or start the games earlier like some of the super 12 games to ensure a fairer contest between bat and ball. Peak viewing figures in the sub-continent obviously matter more. If I was an Aussie or a Kiwi I might stay up to watch a T20 WC final.......not sure I'd get up in the middle of the night for one.

Just what the world needed, that bunch of cnuts winning again….

They’ll probably go full dipper about their ‘redemption’

Horrible cheating twats with a monumental twat in charge of them (Langer)

Well who knows t20 will be way forward and will replace Odis … don’t see future of ODIs lasting much longer.

I literally only watch ODIs during the World Cups so I wouldn't miss them that much. They're just a bit too long to casually watch. Something else normally gets in the way.

Test cricket is different. You watch the key stages that you can on TV, listen to it in the car, listen to it whilst your doing jobs around the house, follow it on Espncricinfo at work etc. You accept that you can't see it all and you sneak it into your day.

The highest scoring final.

The toss wasn't that decisive, not like in a test match. England's form dropped if in the last two games, lost both, one the toss v SA and couldn't chase down the total.

Outstanding batting from Australia in both the semi and final, NZ were 4/5 favourites at the interval.

The only good thing is England can take the trophy of the aussies in their backyard next year. We are a better team with a full squad. Just give us a top 4 of Roy, Jos, Livingstone and Stokes, with Archer and Mills death bowlers.

Have to believe that winning the toss was crucial in both semi-finals and the final.

T20 cricket, whilst exciting, is a bit of a lottery.

Yep, 12 of 13 matches at Dubai were won by the chasing team which feels a little disappointing in hindsight.

Some great cricket in the groups and two great semi finals tho, which made for a really watchable tournament all in all

Didn't Realise it was that many, makes a bit of a mockery of the tournament.

The other had no recollection but 3:1

The vile Boycott was never out of work for too long, so I wouldn't worry about Vaughan.
Boycott was an alleged wife beater and probably not a very pleasent person but as far as I can recall he was never associated with racism.

Convicted of the attack, and it is worse than one discriminatory comment in his entire career.

Boycott saying he would be knighted if he 'blacked up' was pretty recent.

Plus like a lot of proud Yorkies, he is a Man Utd fan.

Yeah, agreed he was convicted of the wife beating.

I'm not excusing him but the 'blacked up' comment although a very poor choice of words, was in relation to the fact that 11 WI cricketers had received knighthoods during a period while very few english players had recieved the honour. (Botham got his for Charity work rather than services to cricket). So in some respects it was a fair point made extremely badly. I'm not sure it brands him a racist. I also think his work with Pakistan Cricket during periods when the England set up would have nothing to do with him deserves some recognition.

I hold his Rag tendencies in much more disdain that his other personality traits tbh.
