Ajaz Patel of New Zealand has become just the third bowler in the history of test cricket (after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble) to take all 10 wickets in an innings,in the game between India and New Zealand in Mumbai. A fantastic achievement, and in his home city as well! His figures....

Just watched him get the last two wickets ex Indian Mumbai too couldn’t of script it better! Also in the history of cricket only the 3rd ever player to get a ten for.

That must really burn, when you see a player who's got a family name that couldn't be more local doing that to you.
 
RIGHT

its here and all the talking over the last 2 years on what should have happened or who should england play in the ashes happens this week.

1st thing is... are england good enough to win
2nd thing is.. are australia bad enough to lose

england must play a balance team and a spinner and forget part time spin and pick broad and anderson.
ollie robinson and mark wood should be the main attack and woakes first replace bowler then a spinner and maybe stokes then root with 3 or 4 overs. but we know what's going to happen same old same old

i think i can write the review of the first test right now depending who wins the toss ?
england lose the toss and bowl first they make 450 plus then its game over by the 4th day
england win the toss bat first make 230 and its game over by the 3rd day

i said i will be staying out of the tread and i think it will be hard not to jump when somebody quotes me
but all am saying is good look to england and root and go and prove me wrong
 
Wood is a lightweight, bowls four good overs then is injured for three months. No idea which team is better at the moment, might just be an interesting, close series.
 
Like always it’s runs on the board if we can get 400 runs at least batting first we have a chance but home advantage will give it to the Aussie 4-1

Weirdly looking forward to The Ashes. I doubt we'll win one match, but we did in India this year and they're miles better than Australia.

How often have we scored 400 in the first innings in the last few years? Feels like we struggle to get past 200 these days. Add to that its in Australia and its hard to see anything other than a 5-0 i think.

Yeah wishful thinking on my part.

The first test been postponed too cause of Covid.

i will be a test staying out but i sound like a broken record with root being captain and sloppy
we all hope england can make a game of the ashes and wish them well
 
Don't think any of the tests will go to the 5th day unless there is bad weather etc. Hate to say it but think it will be 5-0 to the Aussies as I can't see us scoring anywhere near enough runs to compete
