Spot on that’s what the Hundred has brought to the game…

Just watching a bit of the Disabled cricketers T20 final.

I‘m not sure what the Pirates disabilities are, but they certainly can’t bat!

Could be a great finish to CC1 thanks to Northants.
Surrey now 8 points clear of Hampshire.
Third or fourth for Lancs who have lost only once but drawn half their games.
Lancs batting run rate is too slow for us to have won the championship. Couple that with more time lost to weather and we simply run out of time too frequently.

We can determine who wins in next week though.

Yes the batting bonus points is way down on the Top Two.
My other team Glamorgan got thrashed by Middlesex and drop to third. Middlesex have the Leicester Bunnies next.

Surrey have Yorkshire at the Oval and then head up to Lancashire for the finale, where @Alan Harper's Tash has assured us of an Indian summer...

Quite a few of Surrey's draws have been rain induced as well.

Sam Curran and Will jacks are out in Pakistan for the T20 matches so will be unavailable, though Pope and Foakes should be back from Test duty.

Will they be allowed to play? I doubt Jimmy will be bowling at them if they do play.

In 2011 Lancs had 2.31 batting PPG, currently at 2.45.

Low first innings totals helped to make results 10/16 won, 2 draws. This season 6/12 draws.

Win games an additional game and bonus points are not that important.

In 2011, we had better bowlers than in 2022, so we could afford to bat for longer.

What this means is that our batters didn’t score runs quick enough to enable our bowlers to take 20 wickets.

Corky knows this really.

Going to the Royal London Final @ Trent Bridge tomorrow
Come on Lancs!
All hundred and England players are omitted. Kent saying they are doing similar.

24 years since an A List final win, 16 since the Sussex debacle with those hit bat LBWs on Loye and Law which cost us.

It is going to be a long day.
